Alright guys and gals what are we all using now a days to help our poker game out, the only software that I use is pokertracker and it is incredible, but I have been reading some threads lately and seeing some names of other software programs that people are using.
What I want from all of you is to name what you use and tell me a little about it, I would love feedback from everyone.
I want everyone to name and explain at least one, if you want you can do more then one.
By the end of this thread I want to be able to know something about all the popular and not so popular poker softwares out there.

Deal Magazine often has a HUGE section devoted to different software programs, and comes with a cd of demos that you can try out. If you can find a copy it would be a good place to start (although I confess there seems to be so many programs with similar names and functions that it is difficult to sort through).

A simple google search turns up a couple of sites with limited reviews. My bookmarks have a "Tools/Software" section that is pretty large. I think compiling a comprehensive review would be a huge undertaking.

its like pokertrackers little brother that never could be as good as his big brother. my opinion of course.

lol I love this answer.

I use pokertracker with pokerace HUD and I must say, I love it. Biggest help for me is the numbers it shows really helps you put someone on a hand. Lets say villain raises and you have a hand like a-10 or a-j. If I notice that he has played 125 hands and only raised PF 10 times, Im going to fold whereas before PT and PAHUD I would have called, hit the ace, and lost to ak because I didnt respect the villain.

Well worth it in my opinion.

general answer

you should not make all your decisions based on the software, the software is there as a tool for when you get in tough spots. Like say you hit top pair and get check-raised you really dont know what to do, if you see guy check- raises like 5% of the time you can lay this down because you know you are up against overpair or set.

why pokertracker is better.

poker office gives odds YIPPIE and dont work with pokerace hud I dont think so why would you?

I use Poker Office. It has it's own built in HUD so it doesn't need PokerAce. I've demoed pokertracker as well. They are almost identical programs. I liked the HUD with Poker Office a little better. It shows pot odds directly on the table which is minimally better and the stats display stays in the same spot on the table by itself. You don't have this huge mess of stats that is covering the entire player avatar.

There really isn't enough difference to say one is better than the other. I think Pokertracker supports a few more sites. But they both cover all of the major ones. Poker Office is considerably easier to get setup, but, with as many users of Pokertracker as there are. It isn't hard to find someone to help you set it up.

You could flip a coin to decide which one to purchase IMO.

try holdem indicator, also the tournament version "tournament indicator' these are great for odds and the tournament one really helps for knowing when to push and stuff.
