I'm sure a large majority of us can say there is some luck involved. My question to all you legends on here is which of the game types do you think require the most skill and the least amount of luck? Holdem or Omaha and cash games, tournies, or sit and gos? Thank you guys :) - Alexx

HORSE really makes me stop and think "what the hell am I doing right now, I don't even remember which game turn is on" and going all in with AA and realize it's RAZZ and I just messed it all up

LOL

badugi ir really a poker game? I thought it was some chinese thing like mahjong

very stupid name like HORSE anyway

(at least I was not that far away from the origin of the name: "Nick Wedd reports that the Korean word baduk, or badug refers to a black and white pattern—a black and white pet dog may be called "badugi"—which gives rise to the Korean name baduk for the board game Go, played with black and white stones" source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badugi)

HORSE.

If it's not a mixed-game format, probably Razz, because lowball games require you to think "backwards."

As HumanMustard said, HORSE is challenging because you have to be solid in five games.

I agree with horse. Mixed games require players to have to change styles, and adjust to different styles based on the game.

im not sure HORSE qualifies as an answer because it is 5 different games

in all games I say draw games are the hardest, or maybe chinese poker

but to the question - the skill sets are different to some degree and the same in others, so its hard to compare - however I think omaha holdem is trickier than texas holdem because you have to understand draw potential and bet sizing much much more.

least amount of luck, well if you go by variance (lower variance = least luck) then omaha is less luck than texas, and smaller tourneys and smaller cash games are less luck than bigger

sng's are probably the easiest because they pay deeper

cash vs. tourney - cant really compare because effective play styles can be drastically different, and it really depends on what you want out of it, but you will lose less in a tourney because often you can not buy back in, and if you can its limited

when I play the game Holdem and Omaha quieter are different but not much carried one of those who believe that we must play with calm and caution it is Razz. This is not a game of luck:Rodar los ojos:

Omaha requires the most skill .
The combinations with 4 hole cards (instead of 2) appear to increase your hand potential dramatically; Omaha players are following strategies , being selective and choosing specific combinations of starting hands ( tending to invest more money to see the flop with more hands generally ) .
The players' decisions for every bet and 3bet ( when and the right size of course ) on the flop , turn and river are many and well thought out , because in omaha its very easy another player to have a better hand than yours and on every street everything can change . So if you're not a skilled player , you're gonna lose alot of money (like me:D ). I think 8 game is also a skill-game, many proffessionals prefer it but I have played it 2 times only , so I don't have a personal opinion...

I would say Omaha 8 or better. It is very tricky to select the right starting hands and make educated guesses about your opponents and their strength. I would call 7-Stud a close second...so many people play way too loose in that game.

I think any poker requires certain skills, as you can play ,if you play badly
