Okay, so I am a small stakes S&G and MTT player.

I have bought, read, and understand: HOH 1&2, Killer Poker no'limit by Vorhaus, Killer Poker by the numbers by Guerrero, Phil Gordons Black, Green, and Blue Book and Finally Zen and the Art of Poker. I have read all of them several times.

So what would be the best book to get next? There are so many that I don't want to get a crappy waste of time book. And there are so many titles on some of the list around here I am not sure where to go next.

* Super System 2 (no introduction needed)
* Power Hold'Em Strategy (Danial Negreanu's latest book)

I have both, but haven't finished them yet. Just got my signed copy of Power Hold'em Strategy yesterday and so far it's quite good, I think. Can't give a true verdict until I'm further in, though.

The forward (can't remember who wrote it off the top of my head) predicts that Power Hold'em Strategy will be to Hold'em what Super System & Super System 2 were for poker in general, that is it will be a game-changing treatise on the subject. I don't know about all that, but I like how it's put together. Like the Super System books, it's a collaborative effort, with sections written by different players such as Evelyn Ng, Erick Lindgren, Todd Brunson, and of course Daniel himself, who writes the chapter on his Small-Ball system.

My problem with Super System 2 is that it was pretty much the same book as SS1, just with a few different perspectives, some games taken out, and some games put in.
Not a big fan of SS2, and really makes little difference if you read it or not, imo.
I have never even picked up Power Hold'em Strategy.

The Poker Tournament Formula - Arnold Snyder.

Proposes a somewhat looser approach to MTTs. An interesting contrast to HoH.

Yeah, I didn't bother with SS1 for the very reason SS2 seemed to be a more relevant rehash. But I'm surprised by all the SS/SS2 hate, LOL. I bought it because it was recommended by just about everybody, it seemed. I see it constantly referred to as "The Bible" of modern poker.

Power Hold'em Strategy is hot off the press, just released like a week or two ago. I had pre-ordered a signed copy from CardSharks. Like I said, not that far in, but I'm kinda liking the first chapter by Evelyn Ng, her suggestions for beginner preflop strategy are interesting. Very aggressive.
