In general free things tend to be "worth it". Try pokertracker then try HEM's trial and buy whichever you prefer. HEM is great for cash but if you like to track tournament winnings it isn't much good.

i'm just starting to use software, I chose PT3 because I got it free with a new deposit at Titan Poker.

All the testimonials and tutorials I found on-line comparing PT3 and HEM pretty much put them at a tie. No winner overall. Nada. Boy, was my choice ever made easier by doing the research.....NOT.

Go with what is free and available. You may find other promo offers or package product offers (buy 1 get 1) by Google-ing around software sites.

I have Hold'em Manager, Tournament Manager, PokerStove(free), SnGWizard, AutoHotKey.

Hold'em Manager - Just like Poker Tracker, keeps track of wins/losses and statistics of yourself and people you play with.

Tournament Manager - Tracks MTT and SnG results.

PokerStove - equity calculator. Runs simulations to determine how much equity one hand/range has vs. other hands/ranges.

SnGWizard - ICM Calculator. Evaluates push/fold decisions in SnG's using the Independant Chip Model.

AutoHotKey - Automation software. Custom scripts for AutoHotKey allow you to automate and "macro" certain functions when playing poker. A common script is BetPot, which allows you to bet in relation to the pot just by clicking the right mouse button.

HEM is amazing but ive found it to be a little buggy, just bad experience I guess, but its such a good program.

I use PT3 right now though, HEM is just not working on my PC... it works for a bit but then crashes while PT3 is sooo solid.

Either is great though.
