What poker movies to watch?

Of course Rounders They are supposedly making a sequel this year and it is not just the best poker movie, it is one of the best anything movies!

Maverick !

I would certainly go with rounders for the ol new york feel, I did like lucky you alot to.

Rounders no question about it!

This one is more a casino themed movie but we can all relate to it in spades - The Cooler! We have all seen coolers and we know the bedlam they can wreak. Fun movie.

I have to say "Rounders" along with everyone else. Movie just kicks ass and really was my motivation for my poker career. I also liked The Stu Unger story High roller, not much poker in it but about cards. Also "Casino" one of my all time favorites, but again not much poker. lol

I also thought Runner Runner was an enjoyable movie. Despite what the vast majority thinks. Opened up the world of Online Gaming to everyone. I liked it.

Thanks for the other considerations i will have to check out, the "ultimate beat", sounds great. also i will watch the grand as well and Maverick. thanks for the ideas guys!

My absolute favorite poker movie is rounders!! It had so many great actors in it. The time of era was awesome, and they revealed many interesting tips. I have paid to learn for sure but first hand experience will teach you directly.

Watching degen behavior is really sad.
Always going back with a "chip and a seat"
Always going bust.
Never knowing when to quit.

Constantly betting on stupid random bullshit (I'll bet you $100 you can't balance this spoon on your forehead for 15 seconds.)

It's a really sad way of life.
They always end up in disaster.

The Deal. Was pretty good found it last week on Netflix, Antonio E, Phil Laak, and Jennifer Tilly is in it. I think it's almost equal to Rounders

I'd have to go with Rounders...

Rolled up aces over kings. Check-raising stupid tourists and taking huge pots off of them. Playing all-night high-limit Hold'em at the Taj, "where the sand turns to gold." Stacks and towers of checks I can't even see over.

I watched Lucky You. It was decent. Degen challenges.

Also watched "Deal". It was explicitly about Hold'em. Lots of Hold'em scenes.

Next up are Maverick and Stu Ungar.
Both are on Putlocker.
