i have a quick question for all you players out there that are good at figuring out odds. I was playing a hand last night where i was all in on the flop. i had 10's in the hole and another on the flop, so i had a set. but there were also three hearts on the flop and my opponent had a flush. my question is, with two cards to go, what were my odds of the board pairing or catching the fourth ten for me to win the hand, and there was no straight ot straight flush possibility

If that doesn't make sense to you (ratio's make my brain quiver), approximately 21% all in all. ;)

Damn XD, if I knew you were this smart I'd never have invited you to the private SNG. I am duly impressed by your mathematical ability and I'm sure you don't even need a calculator... Dave

As far as the odds you have 7 outs on the turn and 10 on the river overall u are about 2 to 1 to hit it so about the same as a flush draw or just slightly worse

:) True I don't need a calculator, when you play online you don't have time to do all the math every hand so best to memorize the most used ratios. Ratios are easier for me when it comes to comparing them to the pot. Percentages have an extra step that I just don't do. Now all I have to do is find a way to get some dam cards whenever Four Dogs is in the same game as me :)

Well, since I don't recall inflicting too much damage on you directly, you must be refering that jinx I hexed you with. Who says Harry Potter isn't educational.

LOL Harry Potter hell I am going to make a trip to Louisianna to see the voodoo priest to get that particular hex lifted. :) No cards saturday and just couldn't recover when your buddy called my fat raise with rags. Anyways make sure you hit me up for the next tourney!

His buddies were certainly drawing some cards. I had pocket kings busted by some crap and lost A-K vs A-T, but that's poker and there's always another day...

PS: I made up for all my tourney thumpings over the weekend tonight on the .50/1.00 limit at Noble. Bunch of 12 year old kids with their raise button stuck. They may have been adults, but if so they need to go back to school...
