For me it is bad plays. Not just any bad plays, but stuff that defiles logic, that doesn't benefit the opponent at all.

1. Here at 2 examples that gets on my nerve. You are closing in the money with a small stack super close 1 or 2 orbits away. If the table slows down you are a lock.

Someone else at your table with the same stack size. But they instant fold. No problem, maybe they are not min cashing and playing the hand. 1 orbit later, you both are under 1bb and you realize THEY ARE FOLDING IN THE MONEY. They just didn't use their timer.

Another situation...

2. You are in the final table. Short with 1 BB goes all in. You and your opponent are large stacks by a good margin 10-15BB, you limp in hoping to knock out the short stack.

Flop comes you check, opp checks. You both check back and forth to the river. You have connected with a mid pair along the way. Opponent open with a large bet size. There isn't any bluff because there is a 3rd player coming for the ride, so you fold.

Your opponent miss, like miss by a mile on the river. Nothing but like Jack high. The chips go to the short stack. That you could have knocked out and get a pay jump.

Like why? What is the benefit of calling there? Getting 0.3BB rather than knocking out someone and getting a lock into 2nd and 1st?

For me it's customer support ainec! Pokersite software glitch/fkup followed by just a huge clusterfck with support. Then after an hour or more is wasted from your life, the former McD burger flipper (< 'former' because they got fired from there... a pre-requisite for their current position), tells you "It must be a connection issue on your end... there is nothing wrong here"

Some of the iPoker network sites used to be notoriously bad for this 10yrs. ago. It was hellish having to deal with them (I'm sure they made $$'s from customers who could no longer be bothered to contact them).

Today I just had a reminder of how much I hate this sh1t!

Tilts me far more than your worst player making the stupidest move EVER on say a satty bubble or something.

I found out don't ever call any customer support while playing poker. Sure fire way to throw off your game.

this ^ is a fact!

Today I was trying to satellite into the WPT #06 Day 1A, $33 & the $320. (I had spent just $3 and had a $33 ticket). And also the CC $1 partypoker game.

It wasn't about the money.... but I wasn't able to play in the target tourneys because of the fk'n glitch going on today :( ARGH!!!!
Support (live chat) tells me I'm not eligible for a refund ... but I could not see my holecards. (I whined about it on the Partypoker thread).

so my day of playing was actually based on being able to play on "THAT" site... which definitely fk'd my day of playing up 100% :( (sucks cuz I'd been looking forward to it)

In the moment blatant stupidity getting rewarded, but I force myself to realize I don't want to be playing against smart players and the best revenge is to keep playing well. :D

I'm also really annoyed with your 2nd situation, but usually this don't lead me to tilt, I just keep thinking why someone does that type of play..
What induce me to tilt is when I'm so close to be itm or when I'm already itm but close to the FT and I lose with a super favorite hand. Also, it really get on my nerves when my cashouts takes forever to be processed.

Hi.
I have been playing poker for over 4 years. During this time, I learned to follow the bankroll management system and control my emotions. I believe that discipline is the key to success and responsible play.
Good luck.

I am attracted most of all when fed aces are dealt out twice in a row and I put all the chips all in and my opponents confirm my bankroll and I win 2 times in a row, this is what attracts me the most :) :) :)

2. making a great play and putting opponent all in on the flop .... opponent has only 1-4 outs and I pad myself on the shoulder for making a great play...and then opponent hits his out and I lose . this happens to me non stop online btw

Your second situation is one that annoys me but not tilting. I rarely tilt when playing online because I am not caring what is happening as I do not play big money.

Playing live, the thing that annoys the sh*t out of me is when a player sits there and is talking shit the entire time win or lose but the week they are finally having a winning session they start saying you know what your tell is??? Like they really f*ckin know what my tell is when they go 7-8 weeks in the home game all big losses ($500+ losses) and finally they have a minor win and just got lucky on the flop to hit set over set in the last few hands of the night. Sorry for venting, the guy did this to me just 2 days ago and he left the game up $50 when he bought in for nearly $750... do not worry I was still up at the end for the night but I didn't play a single hand after because I was fuming.

For me it's the combination of the runouts that defy the odds and bail bad players out of tight spots and the logic that leads those players to be in those spots in the first place. An example would be a pot that has been raised, 3-bet and 4-bet to 25x pre-flop. I started the pot with over 270xBB. Villain 1 had 84x. Villain 2 had 142x. After both villains checked to me on the flop, I bet 50x after flopping top pair and the nut flush draw with Ac-Qc on a As-8c-5c board. First villain re-raised all-in to 59x. Villain 2 flat calls. I flat call. I put Villain 2 all in after a Qs falls on the turn, giving me top two pair and the nut flush draw. Villain 2 calls and the cards are turned over. I show my Ac-Qc. Villain 1 shows Ah-9c. Villain 2 turns over 3h-3d.

Now, I thought Villain 1 had gotten a bit carried away, 4-betting to 25x with A-9 off. He had been the initial raiser, making it 3x. Villain 2 had flatted behind him, before I 3-bet it to 10x. Of course Villain 2 and I had both flat called behind Villain 1's 4-bet. I can't blame Villain 1 for getting his chips in with top pair on the flop after making it 25x pre. But I couldn't for the life of me, understand what the hell Villain 2 was thinking.

Maybe I could see her making the pre-flop call in hopes of getting lucky, flopping a set and winning a big pot. Most people play flop it or drop it with those small pairs. So I would have expected Villain 2 to fold and save the 117xbb she still had after seeing the ace on the flop. But I will never know how she makes the call on the turn, when every card that has hit the board is an over card to her threes and any player connecting in any way with that board would obviously have her beat. But she made it, and I'm sure I don't have to tell anyone that a third three fell on the river.

Back then I used to be a little more chatty at tables. This girl happened to be extremely chatty. So I paid her a couple of compliments on well she had played that hand. She told me that she understood sarcasm. I told her that since she probably knew how I really felt, there was no need for me to say any more. A few hands later, when I won a decent pot after setting a trap for my opponent, another player had NHed me in the chat box. I had responded with my standard "preciate it" to the first NH, when she NHed me as well. I responded to her NH with "how would you know?".

When I tilt, I have no choice but to take a break from the game. Otherwise, I can lose even more in the impatience to return what was lost.

No matter how you lose, it's never nice to lose, but I don't see any reason to tilt because of something that happened in poker. It's a game and if you can't handle it, you should either study the game more or maybe you should look for another hobby. Nor can you assume that the others sitting at the table strictly adhere to our rules because there is no such thing. For someone else, what I call a scrap hand is probably something like his secret lucky cards where he is ready to bet anything. WHETHER it is right or wrong is irrelevant, if he wins he was lucky and if he loses then it was justice lol. You tilt because you either play too high or because you believe that you should have won and thinking that you have to win is also a mistake. The cards come as they want and not as you would like.
