What makes great poker players?

How can you say that a poker player is great?

Do you have your own criteria to consider someone a great poker player?

What skills and attributes do they have?

Patient,knowledge.quick thinking and ability to read your opponents.

Playing disciplined without an ego and maximizing wins/minimizing losses.

Besides the basics of being intelligent and studious... somebody who can utilize both logic and emotion. If you always play your gut, you will be awful. If you always play the statistics, you will be very good. Knowing when to deviate from the 'typical correct play' makes a player great.. imo.

1st : passion
2nd: patience and discipline
3rd: skills esp calculation
4th: enough fund, time to use
5th: enough weaker player to beat

Everything previously stated plus the ability to adjust your style of play accordingly depending on how the other players at the table are playing.

Patient, luck, good strategy and cold face so players can't read it

Consistency. Just like a basketball player has better stats from the 3 point and free throw line than the journeyman.

I believe that you passion and dedication can transfor you in all tha you want.

In online i think very important feature is a adapt to the villains of the table, think of the range of his hands, with that in mind you will use the ideal betting size to get the maximum value of the situation.
have cold blood, control emotions, a percentage of luck and study will make you be a good player and have good chances of winning some with the poker.

The ability to evolve to there table or how the game changes from year to year.

must posses logic and quick and sharp mind, knowledge and skill too, good emotions control and all of it surrounded by great amount of luck.

Skill, luck, patience, luck, courage, luck and more luck. Software rules - ability to read bad hand of opponents is a problem in online poker if you don`t have ability to read card on river or turn.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is stamina, especially if you play MTTs

I'd have to go with ability to read other players and nerves of skill without ego.
