Ok so your in a big live tournament, you get down to being itm.
Then you get to final table, then you get to being heads up.
Ok the prize pool is very large at this stage.
You are very short stacked, the other oponent has 90% of the chips in play.
This is my question ok.
You play a really weird hand and decide to push with it.something like 4/2 os or something.
You ge tlucky and catch a card to double up.
The other player gets really upset and then,
Out of nowhere has a heartattck and kills over.
Do you win the tournament.
Was just curious.

I would say -yes- you win. The other player is unable to continue, but you are. In essence, you would just be blinding him out. He 'left the table', whether by choice or chance, he still left his seat/table.

YOU WIN !!!!!

He Blinds out and you win.

Strange enough question.
Are you thinking of a plan B if you go deep in a Tourney?

Highly unlikely you have any other choice than any two will do. You can expect a call with anything and role the dice.

I think push and pray. My two cents.

I agree, has this ever happened?

I believe something close to this has happened a few times at the WSOP.

One time, a fellow had a heart attack during the ME, he was ok and was refunded his $10K buy in by Harrahs (even though they didn't have to).

There was a pro (can't remember who), who suffered a seizure during a WSOP event either in 07 or 08 and was pretty deep (final 3 or 4 tables). I believe he left and was blinded down.

Vinnie Vinh an apprentice of Men "The Master" Ngyuen was chip leader going into day 3 of a WSOP event. He never showed and was blinded out finishing 20th. He allegedly has some personal issues and while he was alive, no one heard from him for a few days after he cashed.

Yeah because I'd much rather take down a tourney because my opponent bit it rather than playing good poker.

Well like he said he only had 20% of the chips (doubled up from 10%) so being down 4 - 1 I would take the win. Lol a win is a win. BUT I think thats because I would like the money more than the bracelet/fame at this point in my life.

Bit of a wierd question. Dont know the answer to it but why would you think 42 off is a weird hand to push with if you are short stacked. Okay unless you hit on the flop you are going to lose but at that stage I guess the blinds are going to eat you up anyway. Iwould say at a 90/10 split you push with anything.

Some very good knowledge lol, nice of Harrahs.

This is the real question, i wonder what the tourney organisers put in the books. Unforseen profits?

Forever is a very long time. I still think a W is what is important. Tell me, do you get any more money if you do it 5 minutes quicker?
