I have been playing poker for some time and have been slowly increasing my level of play and bankroll. The thing that annoys me is all of the emails I receive telling me to deposit more money and they will give me a bonus.

Why would I need to deposit more money if I am not losing. I can understand the whole idea behind keeping customers and giving incentives to get players back to the tables but why do they ignore the players who are winning?

Can I just withdraw my money and then deposit it back again to get the bonus dollars?

Bump.

Can I withdraw my money and then redeposit it without penalty and still get bonus dollars?

In general no you can't. I don't know of a site that allows this but you'd need to check with your specific site to be sure.

Think of reload bonuses this way. They are a bonus to winning players and a good business decision to keep losing players around longer. If a winning player is going to play all those hands anyway (enough to clear it) then reload bonuses are essentially free money. All we have to do is "loan" our account some money for a week or two then pull it back out.

pokerstars offers a reload bonus every so often and the way it works there is that you cannot withdraw prior to redepositing. However, you can deposit and then withdraw prior to clearing your bonus. So just deposit whatever amount you are comfortable with, wait for it to clear then withdraw it if you can clear the bonus on what's already there.

Thanks for your help.

I won $20 in a party poker freeroll a long time ago and quickly got to $110 before going BUST due to some POOR bankroll management. I now do not like to risk more than 5%. I have been doing well at the $3.00 + 0.40 SNG levels and the .02/.05 cent ring games and will in the not too distant future be moving up to the $6.00 + 0.50 games.

I had worked my way up to $10 + 1 SNG on Ultimatebet but a recent trip to the snow has depleted my bankroll. Gotta start again.
