I am a patient winning live player though i have a limited bank role. Should i grind out the 1c2c cash games (I prefer cash games) or play SNG's to increase my bank roll. Grinding the micros seems to be a very slow profit though it has less variance. Please post your oppinion?

Play what you enjoy imo. If you are a winning live player like you say you should have no trouble working your way up through the first few cash levels fairly quickly.

If you're used to cash, why jump to SNGs? Start at the entry stakes, see how you feel your game stacks up, and move up as your comfort level and your bankroll allow.

Also, don't forget that you can multi-table online, so if you work up to where you can play more than one at a time, you get a multiplier effect that you can't get live. Factor in a solid win rate per 100, and it's quite feasible, although not easy, to win a buck or more per hour at 2NL.

When deciding what game, there is also the time element that needs to be considered. By now you have adjusted to the game pace, and the question becomes how long of a stretch of time you have available.

Typical normal speed SnG's/STT take about 75 minutes to win. Turbos a tad under an hour, and super turbos can be done in 30 minutes (sometimes less).

MTT's can take hours to finish.....I won one recently that took 10.5 hours.

Ring tables; you can sit down, play a few orbits and be gone...

When you dont have a big bankroll you should play multi table tournaments. You should also play sattelites. Try to get into games like the Sunday Storm because it is a cheap game with a lot of value.
