Do you mean donk?

Its just a silly name [short for donkey] and is often said to players who supposedly make poor/bad plays.

Never take it seriously when someone calls you a donk.

On the other hand the player calling you a donk is most probably a donk himself

- or he'd just kept silent and put you on his buddy list.

I've found that the ones who are calling you that name are actually the ones that are the donks. Imo donk = ass and when they make the bad play they are very quick to judge in a disrespectful way.

doink is actually a combo of 'donk' & 'bink'

When you win a tourney & do so with a poorly played hand that got lucky, one would call this a 'boink' or a 'boinking'.
in context > "I got boinked" "I just boinked the Dollar Dazzler" "Was doin' great but then took a huge boinking"
(not to be confused with activity occurring after last call in a bar)

I meant 'doinked'... was getting it confused with 'boinked'.

OP, just a guess... maybe a 'bad read' by me but prolly means you suck at the pokerzz (< I might be wrong though:confused: )

Donk is a overused poker term, for if you make one bad read then you are labeled a donk, makes no sense

a fish is just a terrible player, a donk just made a stupid play and probably sucked out on you!! so you call them a donk....

'donk' is an abbreviation of 'donkey'
meaning stupid.
i.e making a stupid (donkey) play and winning.
if you make a bad play and win you are a 'donk'
if you make a bad play and lose you are a 'fish'
most of us are a bit of both.

I'm a donk. I know because I've been called one a few times. Funny no one calls me a donk when I lose, only when I win. So I think being a donk is a good thing. I want to be a donk as often as I can.
