I've tried to figure this out, and I really have no clue at all what it means (Absolutely none)...I somewhat understand what the term "EV" means (expected value), but I really can't say I totally get it, I'm really trying to understand it (But that dice that weighs the same, on the CC page there), it just confused me more, and then the 6/8th and $10 (I understood that somewhat)...

So I'm trying to play/learn more push/fold tactics and someone suggested I go into SNG's, well I went into 50-50s (If that counts:eek: )...So far I've played like 350+games, but there's things that don't make sense to me at all...So I'll post to Snips of the same thing (But one has the EV adjustment box checked and other doesn't)+I don't understand that damn red line on the BTM at all also....

So I was wondering about acouple of questions

While I'm up money, why is it, when I checked the box off it stats I'm down
-$8.57, I also don't know if I'm filtering it correctly for just $50-50, I believe I am doing it correctly, but can't say for sure, well thx all in advance for the help

1 other thing, why does it state that there's some games unfinished/uncompleted I don't understand that either

Ok, I'll take a stab at this.... First off you'd better be making some kind of offering to the poker gods:) . Wish my SnG graphs ever looked like this:mad: . You're just simply running well above expectation when all the money gets into the pot. In other words your hands that should win against villains hands x% of the time are actually winning pretty significantly over that amount. Put another way; when you get the money in with the best hand; your hands are holding-up at a higher % than they should (for now), and when you get your money in bad your hands are catching-up more often than they should (for now).

This is not at all unusual as SnGs are hugely swingy. I finally just stopped playing them, though, since my graph was pretty-much the opposite of yours. By EV I should have been crushing; by actual results I was only just above break-even for the last couple thousand games. Swings happen, it's just that people usually complain about the downswings and neglect to mention the upswings.

As to why some of your games are not being recorded I've found that if you exit the table too quickly sometimes once you are knocked-out or have won the thing that the results don't have a chance to get reported/caught by your tracker. Just leave the table open for a minute or so after you've been eliminated/finished and it should take care of that problem; at least it did for me.

Thx rudy, so I guess I'm just running well and not playing well then? That makes sense in a way then, cuz I am getting lucky when I need it, and my big hands have been holding up for some time also

Here's another question...If you look at the screen shot at the top you'll notice that "Luck adjusted winnings is checked", then you'll see the red line being beneath 0 line...My question is, is this a good thing or a bad thing? Am I relying on luck to win? Or am I not relying on luck to win? Obviously one needs to get lucky so often, but what does luck adjusted winnings mean, and am I relying on it too much?

I don't use HM anymore, and really don't even play SnGs any more either, but from memory checking the Luck Adjusted Winnings box works exactly like checking the EV box in the left panel. I think if you uncheck that box you'll see your red line disappear from the graph. It's really just a graphical way of displaying what the EV check-box is displaying in the left panel. So, in the end, it means the same thing as all-in ev, or pretty close, and just shows your rungood in a different format.

What all this means is that, for the sample graphed, is if your hands won or were beaten by the expected percentages when the money went into the pot that you'd be more-or-less a break-even to slightly losing player at this point. Please note that, as with everything in SnGs, this swings wildly, too. Much of your redline is clearly positive and ascending. So it could be that you are a winning player who has hit a bad patch, or it could be that you were experiencing some positive varience early and are really much closer to a break-even player (assuming results turned-out as EV anticipated).
