What do you think of that phrase?
"Just play, there is no better teacher than experience"
What do you guys think of this, just playing is enough to become a great player?
My own game is always limited at some point, and when I get to that particular point, I need to read something to get past the stage or go up one level.
And you, what do you think? Share with me

Play is not enough in my humble opinion, at least you need to analyze your game and your session, and this is not enough probably in our time a lot of additional content, books, forums, online schools, streams. It takes time and desire.

I think like that too.
But at the same time I think the game is what brings your style.
But I could not play without learning something from someone more experienced, and I really admire anyone who can

Once you have a basic understanding, then yes, "Just play, there is no better teacher than experience", Remember the adage, It only takes 5 minutes to learn poker but a life time to master.

Yes man, you said everything now. The domain of poker is the great mission of the players, it was exactly that word that I wanted to use.

experience develops better on the basis of theory. necessary knowledge must initially be in everything. one practice is not an effective method of development

Even more in current times, with the amount of players and information that exists, it is very difficult to develop without theory

"Just play" can mean two things - it can mean just play or just play. The former seems to indicate that you shouldn't study or reflect on your game, and should just play instead (a Phil Helmuth approach to the game), while the latter kind of means the opposite: applying to players who study too much but then never play the game so can't integrate the strategies they've learned. I think it's solid advice, without playing poker you'll never pick up on a lot of things about the game that aren't theoretical, but you should definitely not neglect studying to do so.

It would then be 60% practice and 40% theory

Even the pro's have coaches and spend time away from the table. Always trying to perfect an ever changing game. Truly a game where the harder you work the better you become.

Well, you certainly need to play a lot to get good. However, there is a lot more required. You need to study, review your play and make corrections. You also need to keep in mind that each of the different stakes' play differently. You might be doing fine at low stakes and then you move up and get crushed. Also, you don't want to "just play". You want to "just play intelligently and within your budget".

Yes, there are many things that involve the game beyond just the game itself.
bankroll management is one of them.

Truth.
A game where you have to stop and reflect every mistake you make.
Anything you study or read, even if it's not articles or books about poker specifically, is already a study.

You should consider your level, that you want to playing at. And also the time, that you have to spend on this. If you want to become a professional player, then you should spend more time learning of course. If you are just a semi-professional or recreational player, then you will need of course less time. It depends on what you want to achieve. But spreading the time between learning and playing is always good. But I know for myself for example, that I have not so much time for learning and reading like I would like to have, although I am regularly playing.

Just poker is sometimes annoying, there is a complete lack of concentration during the game. You need to be in constant tension and be extremely attentive to achieve something, I, not a robot, but a man. Luck, as in a casino, is also important. conclusions must be made after each game!

Yes man, I have been trying to learn to concentrate and be more patient.
It sounds easy, but it's a very difficult exercise.

Hi.
I totally agree with this. I believe that experience is the basis upon which our skills and our ability to improve these skills are based.

For some reason I am sure that the game itself will not be enough !!! For development in poker you need a detailed analysis of the hands played to find and eliminate errors !!!

To be honest, I do not read poker and play with my experience and that analysis of events that occur at the table.

Of course, experience is the most powerful weapon. However, my opinion is that in order to succeed in poker, you need to constantly improve your poker mindset. For this, I watch videos on the Internet from poker pro, now I also started to get acquainted with such programs as Flopzilla and ICMizer. We also have a lot of information on our site https://www.cardschat.com/poker-strategy.php.
For the last couple of weeks, I have not had enough free time to study, and this immediately affected my results. Although even half an hour a day learning poker strategies significantly improve my game and, most importantly, the results.

Just playing is not enough. Much time is needed for training.
