I play freerolls at carbon poker. For cash games I play in a few home games and at Ballys in Atlanitic City. I consider playing for real money online at times. But with the horror stories you hear about irreputible poker sites, like absolute, makes me wonder what poker rooms are honest. I get bad beat alot in carbon poker freerolls, but I understand the reasoning of so many bad beats in freerolls. Mostly due to bad players geting lucky. I would like to know what people think about carbon poker , who has played there profitably for real money.

Thanks in advance for your time

Carbon poker is a spinoff of pokercs.com it's solid enough but doesn't have a lot of players or games. You would be better severd by pokerstars or fulltilt.

I recommend Carbon on my Blog...and think it is a trustworthy 2nd Tier Site.

Many people say join PS and FTP--but I think its much smarter for many to be playing on the smaller sites for a variety of reasons.

Another good thing about Carbon..Is they seem to try pleasing their players. They have imaginative promotions that change every month

I might try carbon since I've never seen it before. I think that the "fraud" behind online sites is more theory than fact, and when there are incidents, the industry has been more than forthcoming about the information and getting it out to their customers.

I know people aren't high on it, but UltimateBet is a great beginner's card rooms due to the high volume of super low stakes games, like .01/.02 NL and .50 SnGs which get your feet wet. The competition there is less than steller, and I've built up my bankroll there nicely.

PS - nice pic :p

Yep. They also easily have the best software out of all the poker places I've been too. Basic things like showing percentages in an all-in showdown is really cool and you'd expect it to be in every internet poker room but it's not.

I deposited fifty bucks there but lost it due to bad BRM. From what I saw, there were a lot of fish, even in the higher tables. But like someone's said, there's only a few thousand players online at any given time.

I have an account there, played a little bit for a brief time Meh. Traffic is low, decent games are hard to find. Haven't been in quite awhile. Should probably go visit my $100 someday soon, and either play it some or yank it.

i played on carbon for about a week because they were running half priced sngs but the problem was that 20$sngs were the highest ones going. i turned a small profit in them before cashing out. i recieved a check in a timely manner. only problem was they charged me a 15$(i think, may have been 10) processing fee for the cashout by check. thats bullshit if you ask me, bodog gives me a free one every month.

if you play low stakes, its a SUPER soft site.

Carbon and its sister site, poker.com are nice sites. HOWEVER, if you're a member of BOTH carbon and poker.com you won't get any of the deposit bonuses, so choose wisely. I regret joining Carbon, AFTER originally joining its sister site, poker.com. they're basically the same but this annoys me. So what if I'm a member of both? I should be allowed to get a redeposit bonus, wouldn't you think?
Aside from that, I love the site. VERY IMAGINATIVE and their animations are hysterical. To see a fish swimming or a donkey kicking when someone types in either word is cute. I enjoy playing at both of the sites...but I want my bonuses! Boo hoo!

Cakepoker cheques cost $35 to cash out, it sucks lol.

Minimum was $500, max 10k, so I waited till I had $1,500 to cash out. Its funny, I could xfer to espassporte for free, but its like $50 to send to my bank then. Fees fees and fees up my ass.
