I believe to be a correct move, even if you hit the flop, it would be dangerous to only give chek on the flop, after all someone could have two gold cards, this way the risk could be bigger, I usually say that little with God is a lot, good luck
flop : you bet too little. Giving your opponents 5:1 odds is nice if they have a pair, but are they really going to be in on 2x or 4x in the first place? Not many seven left. So really, all you are doing is pricing them in with a flush draw or 56. and if they have an over pair they aren't folding anyway.
More often than not, you don't improve of the flop. With two limpers from early position, I am inflating my raise to be more likely to isolate. They may not give better equity in this specific hand, but the more likely situation is that overs to your seven come and you are up against three hands that could have hit their range and be ahead of you. Long run, betting maybe 5-7x is the higher equity play, in my opinion.
And looking back, wth the deep SB/BB stacks and short early position limpers, I feel even more strongly this way. It's easy for the blinds to call so deep and with chips already in and such good odds to call and you want to get them to fold because their range is less predictable. If that happens, hopefully only one of the two limpers calls OR shoves his short stack in which case you're probably ahead with your 7s when you call and you would have much greater EV.
It was risky to raise with a small pair and two limpers before. If the Flop would't bring you a 7 and maybe a Face card you could have been behind in the hand. I would just call preflop. Althoug you maybe wanted to isolate the SB and BB. In Flop you did the rigth thing cause you had to protect your hand from that wet flop. I think your hand got the EV.
I liked the play, pretty standard rs, you got to know where you were in the hand as mp limpers would have probably re rsd if they were strong, and you protected your hand against the fd possibilities. Maybe you could have bet a little more from position pf, 4 or 5x bb for value, but then would you have got the value call from the limpers? Over all worked out well.
I could only suggest betting more on the flop, tbh pocket over pairs will call, as well as flush draws. Also consider that if BB calls your 25%pot flop raise, next to act has even better pot odds, which kinda invites everyone to call, with a diamond on the turn or river u simply can not know where you stand also, preflop raise should have been round 5BB or just a flat call )
simple, u was the open raiser.. you have only call with 77's with 2 limpers.. when u raised the people tought that u had a top pair and fold with that flop.
Your bet on the flop was shocking. The flop has 2 diamonds and 7 4. If anyone has 2 diamonds, or 5 6 in the hole they are getting very good value at 4/1 or 5/1 to fill their hands. You should have raised your bet to at least 2K to drive them out. They are then looking at 3/1 for their bet.
