I am a driver, I drive 12 hours a day and this month they extended to 15 hours. I arrive home so tired that I can not play a hand and I finish badly spending my little bank. poker helps me to relax, not to think about the everyday, but this month for not stopping on time knowing that I was not in a position to play attentively to break my bank. now to return from 000 it becomes heavy. What do you recommend?

This will sound harsh but don't play when you are exhausted or understand you are paying a fee for your poker relaxation time.

Never play poker when you are exhausted or when you are angry. As simple as it is! And something that I found problematic for me, when I'm listening my favourite music, I'm overcomitting.

With driving 15 hour days, how do you even find the time to play poker?
Truck drivers here in canada are limited to how many hours they are on the road, for safety reasons.

After a period of at least eight hours off-duty, a driver cannot drive more than 13 hours. After a period of at least eight hours off-duty, a driver cannot drive after having been on-duty for 14 hours. After a period of at least eight hours off-duty, a driver cannot drive after 16 hours has elapsed.
I don't know about other countries safety regulations but I believe Canada has some of the best safety regulations in the world, but I could be wrong.

if the above is a little confusing as I had found, here is a better explanation I c/p from a truck drivers forum.

13 hours to drive - Max
14 hour day - Max (can be 16 hrs with 2 hrs Off Duty)
to do your driving in, pre trip, fueling, loading, unloading and other daily routines associated with on duty status

10 hours off duty

You can take up to two hours off duty during your day to count towards your 10 (1/2 hour minimum breaks),
example - 1/2 hr breakfast 1/2 hr lunch 1 hr dinner

(the total of 2 hours off duty does not count towards your 14)

8 hrs sleeper berth + 1/2 + 1/2 + 1 = 10

If you take more than 2 hours off during the day lets say you show 5 hours off, IT DOESN"T MATTER, the extra 3 hours count towards your 14 hour day.

As for recommendation: Play only on your days off.

I work 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week during the summer and only play poker on my days off.

playing when you are too tired is a sure fire way to just GIVE your money away, so don't play cash , try getting into a freeroll if you really do want to play, at least then mistakes won't cost you your bankroll

Of course we old farts can sleep when we are dead, so even though I average 11 hours a day at work, much of it driving, I find poker relaxes me & helps me wind down. As stated above if I am really tired I stay away from the tables.

I'd recommend to not just play, but if you really want to play have a maximum loss like if you lose $5 or something you'll stop for the day but if you're winning you can get on playing.

First take a rest, it has no sense to enter a tournament and get to sleep , and get absent and your hands going on, theres no use for that, rest, couple of days and then go again for a tournament, you don't HAVE to play.

I second the sleep^ suggestion.

online poker is available any time, almost anywhere. Don't blow through your bankroll when you are too tired to play. Try playing freerolls and play money. If it's late at night or early in the morning and you can't sleep, play a quick game.

I suggest playing micro stakes. Sure, you will not be able to make huge money that way, but if you say that poker relaxes you, then it shouldn't matter what stakes are you playing.
Also, this way you will play continuously, allowing you to play solid in higher stakes once you are well and rested. :)

Either don’t play until you are rested or just play the absolute lowest stakes

Have you considered playing spin and go’s? Very quick game time so you can back out quickly if you’re too tired before getting invested in an MTT or a long cash grind?

Stop for a while, eat something, distract your mind with other things and try to return. If you're still tired, stop and just come back when you rest.

For me, playing in the evening after work is a rest. Of course, the work is different. But sometimes I also feel tired after work.
