What do you do while playing poker?

when I play poker is focused only on the game and watching other players

Play dota while playing poker if it's a freeroll.

I try to balance things so I don't feel overwhelmed. A video or music, but only to the point that it isn't interrupting my thought process. Obviously taking a beat or something with raise sensitivity levels and often have to turn everything down or off. I try to keep some kind of live chat going with friends to discuss hands and situations, which I had been lacking previously, and feel like it is really going to be raising my awareness and interest in EACH hand.
In general, I do self medicate, and sometimes I play while friends are over, and sometimes when VEERY medicated lol so I can't say my goal when playing is always even to do my best, sometimes I push small edges hardeer etc. just to raise the excitement level of my play. usually run up a big stack and then get too ballsy at the wrong time and stack myself lol
I play for fun though. WaxDabMan on ACR, look me up or say hi if you see me!

when i play only one tournament or for fun not for big moneyi watch tv

I usally have tv on and web browse, but the tends to lead to too passive of play

Watch the pros on Youtube early on, when i get to the top30 i concentrate on the table only.

I like to listen to very chill relaxing music aka "chillstep", it puts me in the zone. I also listen to podcasts a lot while grinding. I find that watching a TV show takes away too much of my concentration from the game, but having a podcast on in the background keeps me entertained while still being able to focus on multiple decisions at once. Sometimes if I am faced with a really tough decision and need to go into the tank to think about it very hard I will click pause on the music or podcast. So I guess it is a slight distraction, but it makes grinding for hours much more enjoyable.

when I start playing poker and I hang up the world , I forget the woman's mother 's son, I close all internet tabs .... I just focus in order to play poker!

Early stages of online tournaments, ill play guitar, watch tv, or surf the web. Middle to late stages i begin focusing on players betting habits and try to get creative in search for as many chips as possible.

music, poker videos or twitch streams. IF you can stream tv while playing on the same screen it makes tourneys go by fast

usually listening music,but can do without it...its true when there is no noise you are more concentraded and focused on the game,but to me that is not important...i like listening to my favorite songs and enyoj the game

I try and only listen to music or watch poker if playing online. Music only at a live table if anything. definitely should be paying attention to the table

Since getting a new Samsung Tablet I can now play while cooking, cleaning, washing up and lots more. So yeah, poker has become very mobile nowadays.

Music is a must for online play, usually consists of hip hop or R&B playlists. Spotify has helped my play immensely. Definitely helps for long grinding sessions. I have never really tried playing in silence. I would probably get bored or something

I watch television and talk to people on skype while I am playing.

Play poker period.

Im always playing poker with my favorite music. And it is ONLY ONE song very often. Maybe it seems strange for everybody))) I like long(15-20 min) tracks from some djs.

If the stakes are low, I can watch anime or listen music.
If the stakes are high, focusing only on poker.

yeah i am the same...i have to do something else while playing cuz if i don t and the game keep giving me weak cards i get borred and i lose stupidly

I find listening to music frequently helps me stay attentive.
