What do you do while playing poker?

For me it depends on the day. I like to have music in the background. Oddly enough, my poker music is pretty different from the music I like to listen to normally. I have adhd so I fidget a lot and get up and walk around. I'm pretty new to poker so I'm not ready to multitable to eliminate boredom yet, but I probably will soon.

I'm more accurate when I do nothing else than play poker at only one table.
I'm more concentrate on the game, and I try to take note on some other player
I like to listen Bob Marley music, while I'm playing poker in the beach Environment of fulltiltpoker...

well, if i´m playing an important tournment where i put some crowns, paying attention to your opponents behaviour is very important- For sure that, at a certain time, you will need to have some informtions about the people you are playing against...if you have some difficulties, try to play in more than one table at time

Mostly im reading poker discussion or lessons in pokerschool website and in cardschat.. and sometimes eating foods while waiting some games to start.. and if my game is important, im trying to focus on my game and what i want is no disturbed at all..

watch a game, movie, so i not get bored and play well online cause its patience a play good hands

I just focus on my play and on the play of my opponents. I don't like distraction. They make my play worse.

I either watch TV shows / movies, or read the news on the internet and communicate with the guys who watch me play and root for me.

Try to pay attention , i think is realy necessary for +EV. TV , and browsing on the net can share attention and a big lose can be at the and of the session.

When I play poker I must stay focus just on that, like to smoke a joint playing to get relax and clear the mind. I feel sometimes music can abstract us from what we are doing and make us play more impulsive or unconscious way.

While playing poker I listing music at the background, smoke cigarettes and drink coffee. And chatting by skype with ones that look at my game by teamviewer.

I am only looking at the table/tables. When i was starting out with poker i "grinded" i was both arrogant and stupid, thought everything was ABC."those micros are so easy and this strategy is so good so why care..

But nowdays i like the game so much, much because i stopped having this stupid "grinding mentality" so why should i surf the net while i play? Do you really like the game then? And don't bullshit yourself, playing poker the sloppy way is both stupid and -EV. Theeven fact is that this "grinding ABC model i first used when i started play poker was making me bored and therefore i browsed and then i lost and then it got even more boring and so on.

Overall improved mindfulness have also helped me tremendously. Look at some videos of Eckhart Tolle while you play if you can't concentrate fully.
What do you want out of it? Do you want to learn the max from your time at tables, if you do then you should really NOT doing other stuff while you play

Online: Beginning of a long tournament I'll have a stream or show on. Later on in tournaments or in a SnG or a cash game I'll turn some music that gets me more engaged in the game. On the computer I'm not terribly good with focus so I need something to help me with that

Watch TV and other stuff

I watch TV while playing poker. In addition to surfacing the Web. I find poker boring, and could not endure without having something else to do at same time.

I try to pay attention but sometimes I play games on my phone or peek at the television occasionally. lol

When I´m playing tournaments I mostly surf the internet or watch TV, because there is not much to do in poker tournaments than fold, fold, fold and occasionally play a hand. Of course it is a distraction from what you should concentrate on, but without these activities it would be too boring for me. But if I reach the later stages and the final table I usually get rid of everything else and just focus on the table.

I guess people who play up to 10 cash game tables at once will not be able to do anything else besides playing poker - at least I could not.

If I am playing cash games, I can only listen to music. Anything else is to much of a distraction. Tournaments, I tend to do poker related stuff, like post on forums, or read bluff magazine, like I'm doing now.

I like listening to my music while I play poker to relax and have fewer nerves in tournaments and to better decide the play.

I have a dual screen setup so I play games, Browse the web, listen to music and watch tv. It seems hard to focus on the game sometimes lol

i usually play alot of windows at once, and unless i pay close attention every few seconds min., I get sitouts and miss my hands, so I basically have my phone slot game or other semi-auto play goin, but mostly play a bunch of games at once.

Most of the times i put only one song in repeat and keeping notes for players and my game...for cash games,if i am playing TTM in early stages i read articles,tutorials hand history.....

When i play poker i listen music, but i'm watching my opponents to see their plays of course.

I like listen to music and watch movies or surf the web during the game. I do not think it distracts me) GL of the tables)
