If it's a whole day of tilt you've already let things get too far. Fix that first.
You are human. You have emotions. It's okay and even expected to some degree...but playing when you let your emotions take over is asking for problems.
You need to realize when you're tilting and what causes you to tilt. When you understand these things you can quickly prepare yourself and make choices to move past it.
You also need to accept the fact...that when you play...shit happens. It wont be the last time either. Just because you have a 94% chance before the river doesnt mean you'll always get there. Or that someone called you with nothing all the way to the river then got lucky. Or you got slowrolled. Or bluffed and ducked out. The list is endless but these DO HAPPEN. It's part of playing and something you need to accept. Period.
Past looking at your own game and maybe you having some sort of tendency that is flawed...you need to figure out how to handle it. And how you know you're past it. Are you playing your A game? Do you realize you're suddenly playing much looser? Or are wildly aggressive for no reason? Chasing pots? 3 betting or 4 betting expecting constant folds? Too often bluffing?
Would a calmer...non tilted you...make the same choices you're making? If the answer is no...and/or you're doing any of the above then you've at least come to the conclusion you're not in a good frame of mind.
Take a break. Walk away from the table. Shut off the computer. Whatever you need to do to remove yourself from the situation until you are mentally ready to play again. You need to find what works for you.
Understand. Accept. Reset.
Hi.
For me, the best way in such cases is to take a break, relax.
I am trying to accumulate enough patience to keep the game under control.
Good luck.
Taking a break helps. In a tournament winning a bad beat can help.
I totally agree. I just learned that very recently to find out why you tilt, and stop it in its tracks. I block chat, and dont let ppl in my head for starters. That was a huge problem for me. Thanks again

If it's difficult enough for you to have to ask in a forum, I doubt a day off is going to help enough. Take a week or several weeks off. This was a very hard and expensive lesson I learned. Eventually I got to a point where I can recover from tilt in 30 minutes if it's not too bad of a bad beat or something.
I think it would be best not to continue playing if not the next day, is what I usually do time since when I continued playing I ended up without a bank
In such cases, I take a break in the game.
Maybe take a day off, do some mind & body restorative stuff like exercise & productive things. Come back with a calm, happy, clear head.
thankyou all i need to remind myself of these thing . best of luck to youall and have fun at tables take care . havefunAAWhen you have a bad day playing, what is the best way to get back on your best game?
