O.K.

I have something interesting for you guys to answer and maybe help me with a little bit.

What would you do with this "POKER" bankroll?

A little history here, this is "ALL" from Free rolls and bonuses, except for a $25 deposit I recently made on poker stars.

So here is my roll and where its at:

$570 Titan Poker
$330 pacific poker
$ 85 Poker stars
$500 In Cash(for Home games)
$1550 In the bank, from Titan and pacific with-drawls.
______________________________________________
$3035 Total

O.K., so recently I decided to add this all up. I could not believe how much it was. This is pretty amazing to me.

Question is, What would you do with this Roll? Combine it? Play more live?(I live 25 minutes from a casino) Any other suggestions would be great.

Wow Sammy. That's quite an accomplishment, you should be proud! I would say keep doing what you're doing. Seems to be working well for you. Maybe consolidate if you don't like your money spread out. Or take some out and buy something nice for yourself. Depends on what your goals are I guess. Either way, nice going! :congrats:

Give it to your team captain. That's what I'd do anyway. :)

WOW, very impressive. What can you afford to do with that bankroll? If you don't need it badly why not use it? What level do you play at? Maybe step up a level? Find what site you earn the most per hour and roll with it. What is the live game like at your casino? If it's beatable then put some hours in. Answer some of these questions and you won't need our opinions. Good luck in whatever you decide and keep us updated on your progress.

I don't personally have enough extra money kicking around to start with a bankroll that size but I am trying to work a deal with my boss. I walked in on him buying some stocks online and watched him spend $5,000. I told him to give me $5,000 to play with online and see what rate of return on investment I can get back. He is actually thinking about it.

First of all, congrats on accumulating that BR. That is a great accomplishment! My question for you is a simple one, do you want to play more live events? If the answer is yes, then earmark some of that $1500 or so to that. If it doesn't matter to you either way, keep doing what you're doing because it's obviously working.

Well, It's all from poker and it's all staying for poker. I've used some of it for personal stuff already, so the $3000 left is for poker.

If you don't need it badly why not use it?
I plan too.

What level do you play at?
Well, I'm currently comfortable at $1/$2 limit. I do not play NL ring very often. My best game is $10 or $20 s-n-go's. This is all Holdem.

What is the live game like at your casino?
I've played there twice and won both times. They don't have tournaments. They have $100 max NL ring, $500 max NL ring, and limits from $3/$6 to $10/$20.

do you want to play more live events?
Yes I do, I'd rather play tournaments though, and the casino's here don't offer them last time I checked.

Easy decision sammy; beer and bacon. A whole lotta beer and bacon.

seriously though, that's a great accomplishment, buddy :)
it's all those MTTs you took down ;)

I'd say put it all on neteller to make a collective BR, and (since you seem to place so often in them) play the tournaments on whatever site you feel has the ones that suit you the best. I'm sure you could make a nice cashing every week or so, or maybe more often to make a nice big profit :)
That way you could also play rings to clear the best bonuses and add more to your tally.
basically do what you been doin' - again congrats sammy

Keep building your bankroll until you hit $10,000 and enter into the wsop Main Event. You better start now because the WSOP starts in July. Or you could play the WSOP Qualifiers. Whatever is easier and faster.

i agree with T1riel about trying to get to a major tourny of somekind. I do believe there are casinos around or in Michigan that hold satellite tournys for the WPT and maybe the WSOP. You should check them out or maybe take a road trip to Atlantic city to play a Circuit event for $500-$1500 in the WSOP. Whatever you do, congrats on the winnings and GL in the future.

Forget Circuit events.

Sammy, you have enough where you can take $1500 or $2000 of that and pick a bracelet event at the actual WSOP to play in.

O.K. $10,000, I don't see that happening anytime soon. It took me 1 & 1/2 years just to get $3000. Even if I did get the $10,000 I coudln't imagine putting it all on the line there. My bankroll management chip in my brain wouldn't let me do that. The WOSP qualifiers on the other hand, I would consider. (on line) I've never done any research on that to find the best place to play them. I'm sure the buy ins are steep though!

Well, it does sound really good, and is awfully inticing. Paying $1500 for a tournament with a $3000 bankroll is something I probably wont talk myself into. The experience and good time I would have would certainly be worth it though. Maybe if I get a little bigger roll next year. Good thought smd.

My eventual goal is to get a big enough BR that I can supplement (or replace) my income with it. Essentially if I ever get a big BR, I'll see how much I'm making per week (in terms of percent of the starting BR for the week).. and withdraw a certain amount each week based on that percent.

So, if I'm making 10% each week (so I go $1k - $1.1k, $2k - $2.2k) I'd take out like 5% each week, that way my BR keeps growing but I'm still making money on it each week.

Errr, that's what my plan is anyway ;)

Here's your first serious answer:
#1, take your money out of Stars. $85 is useless to you with that money.
#2. Take your money out of Titan and put it into neteller.
Titan rake is way too high and the bonuses are worth bupkiss compared to others out there.
#3. play at whatever level you play at, at Pacific, ignore bankroll considerations of the $330, your actual roll is $3k.
#4. Throw your $500+ from Titan back into party poker, because they just released another reload bonus. Easiest money on the net even if it is a 10X roll over.
#5, bonus whore some more. You'd be surprised how quick it adds up!

That's it for now, hope that helps.

I'd agree with the Bonus Whore suggestion - there's plenty of Prima skins and other sites offering decent bonuses that you could clean up fairly quickly with those stakes and bankroll, so you'd build it up more quickly.
With that bankroll, following the 300BB rule for bankroll management, that should make you sufficiently bankrolled for playing up to 5/10. Since you're on 1/2, you may want to specifically start playing a 2/4 for a little while to see how you do, and see how your profits change.

Sammy, very nice indeed.
I had a feeling you were doing ok.
So we are looking at 3 poker sites, home and B & M events, and some previous winnings already stashed away.

I am hoping you consider my opinion and take a few things into account.
I like chucks idea of pooling your BR with Neteller, but I also think you need a certain amount of ( already there ) dollars in your poker accounts, which you have.

Funds already withdrawn are best served nestling safely in a bank/savings account ( I don't think Neteller offer this kind of deal )
I would also stick my live game winnings along side it till its needed ( unless regular activity hurts any sort of interest gain ) or put that in an account also and add and take when needed.

I also see no reason whatsoever to start moving around your BR's from site to site, you have taken 12-18 Months to accumulate what you already have, and to start changing that at this point imo would not be a very good idea at all.

Saying that, if you did want to spread your net to allow for more opportunities, I would use my already withdrawn funds to do so.
Invest your winnings so to speak, and perhaps take advantage of good first deposit bonuses and re-load bonuses.

There is one thing I would say about re-load bonuses though, if you concentrate on that aspect alone, your natural game may suffer, and at the very least, your time online at a certain site would have to be considerable to achieve those re-loads.
Some are not that tough to achieve, Kenzie and Three6s may be able to help you there.

Having 3 accounts at 3 sites up to this point has been ideal, fairly easy management, and visiting each as often as your down time allows you, and it goes without saying this strategy has been a great success for you.
It is hard to advise you to do anything different when nothing is broken, but for what its worth, I would add maybe 2 or 3 more sites to your itinerary at this point using your already banked winnings, perhaps $100-$200 in each new account, or your live winning if this is more appealing.

Maybe 1 site because you always wanted to try it out, the 2nd because the first deposit is worth it, and thirdly because a site offers great re-load bonuses, ( but of course you would need to understand the full potential of such a course of play ) and continue with what is a successful relationship with your 3 existing sites.

Bankroll management does come into it, but it doesn't have to be as complicated as it might be.

well done to you, and I am very pleased for you, good luck at the tables.

P.S. Would I be right in saying you have been successful over the last 6 Months with your Limit ring games, if so, consider Poker.com at $1/$2 limit level, lots of money making opportunities for decent Limit players there at present.

Spend $2K and keep $1k for your bankroll. (If you dont plan on playing higher limits.) Last year I withdrew $2.2k and spent it on car parts. I left only $300 in my account and almost lost it all. I should have left more. Now I'm back up to about $1.7k and am thinking about spending $700 on car parts again. Its nice to spend money you didnt have to work for :D

Are you sure? They regularly have a 50% reload bonus that I take advantage of. I usually clear $300 in bonus money in 3 months not even trying. (Not multi-tabling just to clear). Thats an easy 100 bucks a month. Then on top of that, since I am considered gold VIP they give me $20 at the beginning of each month. Then on top of that I can cash in my player points for another $10. So thats an easy $130 a month for playing $10 sngs and .25-50 NL rings mostly on the weekends. I also get to enter weekly and monthly VIP freerolls. ($1K and $5K) Sometimes they even send me stuff out of the blue, like tokens to the refer a friend qualifiers (I have referred nobody)which I qualified for and now have a shot at a $500K prize pool.

I thought Titan was doing me right, but I wasnt aware of a higher rake, or better bonuses elsewhere, as it is the only place I play. You think I should move elsewhere too? Where and if you could explain how the bonuses are better that would be cool.

No way Sixes, you do to well at Titan to start moving around. Go ahead and make a more than min. deposit at other sites if you want a change but keep the bulk at Titan. They do you right from what it looks like.
