Is it 50%, 75%, 100%, 150% or more of your buy-in?

I play either $.50/$1.00 or $1/$2 and am happy with a 50% - 75% return on my buy-in. Over a week / month it adds up.

With the low Canadian dollar vs the US dollar my withdrawals are 25% - 30% increased.

Cash Games: Happy with +0.1% but a good session is +75% BI profit
Tournament: Happy with 'play good' but a good session is +200% BI profit

Most of the time, just a win. 25-50% is good though.

this......but I add.....enjoying to play....
About the results....well, for a marginal player like me, it's like just trying to make a profit, but more like minimizing the losses....

But, if I look back at a session and can say I enjoyed and played as good as I could then I consider it succesful.

Oh....and if I get the feeling I learned something during a session it makes it even better.....

The pleasure from the game. Not necessarily win but just good interesting hands when seemingly nothing bad happened you win, and then lose with a good hand)

Maybe Im just a losing player. :)

I play MTTs. I count it generally a good day if my day would be positive even if I would not count my largest single cash. Like if I have 500$ in buy-ins and cashes of 20$, 40$, 90$, 110$, 180$, 200$ and 900$ (1540$ total, 640$ without largest one).

In general I would consider around 90$/hr as a good hourly winning rate. Poor year so far.

Honestly, as long as I don't walk out of a casino knowing some moron has my money in their pocket i'm happy.

Always a great day when you line your pockets!

Good day in poker is not always good win. Personally for me good is wneh I play good and do good moves all time. But sometimes even your best game can be not very successful in money prize. One bad beat in tournament can make you don't get final table and don't have good part of prizepool.

For me is always a good day when I can improve my bankroll. But the most important thing to me is to play good.

The worst day at Poker is better than the best day at work. :D

None of that, actually. A good day is one where I didn't lose focus, made all the right decisions, and read the players well. The wins and losses can take care of themselves.

For me, being top 1% in a tournament defines a good day of poker for me. I mostly play The Hot $3.30 and $4.40 -ies on pokerstars, yet I still have not reached the final table in any of those, although a couple of times I was very close.
