I win more than I lose but I still have bad runs where it seems nothing is falling like it, in the midst of one right now actually. Anyways the great thing about online poker is a player who would normally play break even poker in the real world usually is good enough to make money online

Gold .... If you think you are unlucky ... you are. If you think you can't win .... you won't. I think a change in attitude is in order along with learning to play a good game, not a sloppy one. Good luck! :)

Depends what you mean by "win".

I place in about 60% of $5, 10 seat mini tourneys. Maybe 40-50% in the $10 minis.

My problem is i try to climb the ladder too fast and when i lose it's normally at a $20 or $50 mini, this had the effect of wiping my bank roll out.

What a weird question. If you play good cards against bad players you win more than you lose. Sure you will have bad runs (went from $250 to $100 in account recently) but just stick with your game and don't fish. Fishys are what all the "winners" are looking for.

Mygold,

You are not alone. I have have placed and won in MTTs and Sit n Goes and usually walk away ahead of the game in rings tables.

However I think I am not 10% as lucky as most of the players I see playing. Maybe even less than 10%

Constantly I will see more then 60% of the table maybe even 70% get several flushes, straights and 2 pairs when I in the same time am lucky to get a pair.

It is not uncommon for me to win between 3 to 5% of all the hands dealt.

Oddly enough, even that far behind I still manage to come in the money and win.

So, I consider that to be extremely unlucky. And if someone can beat my 3 to 5% and still be ahead of the game I would like to shake their hand.

I do, but it sure taxes my nerves.

I find that the sit-n-go tournaments usually will have the weaker players and I often can get on good winning streaks in that type of setting. Playing at tables with only six players may keep you from winning huge amounts, but I feel I get a better understanding of each individual player that way. And when it gets down to it, its always good to have luck on your side.

I look at it as having a 50/50 chance. You either win or lose... 50/50.

what really irritates me,,and it happens almost every table i sit at,,people want to argue with me about my style of playing,,for instance just a few minutes ago,,i had 66 in hand,,the flop fell with 3 diamonds,,everyone bets,,i stay,,,no diamond fell,,everyone bets,,i stay,,,no diamond fell,,but a 6 came on river,,,everyone checks and i check,,i won with 666,,then it was like u got to be kidding me,,u stayed with 2 black 6's?? i said sure,,then i am an idiot an stupid an whatever else,,then i won the next hand and the next hand,,,an they are still on an on about my style of playing, i said look i would rather have my luck than your skill ok,,an now u wont get a chance to win ur money back as u have ruined my mojo,,lmao,,and i left with their money in hand.i dont understand why people cant just keep their mouth shut,,they sure dont complain if i lose. and it would be ok,,if it werent almost every table i sit at that this happens,,,and i win more than i lose,,so if it works for me,,leave me the hell alone!!

Just keep smiling in their faces as you pocket their winnings or even better laugh at them, get them on tilt and win more!

patience is the key 2 winning....figuring out your outs, how much of a favorite you are 2 winning a certain hand,we all dont win all the time...heck even 50 pct of the time.....hang in there and play smart and have patience.

Michellew is right. Attitude has a lot to do with how you will go in the tournaments. If I have a positive and aggressive attitude I do better but I struggle if I am negative. Take a few chances and stay in the hands as long as you can. Otherwise, patience is a great thing to have.
