Live. You can see the emotions of the players. And the card does not fall according to the program.

Depends, if you're playing online the programme makes it very clear who's bet it is and how much the bet is but you have time limits and can't get live reads.

Live you have more time to think and get the real experience, but also have to look people in the eye if you make a bad call!!

I think it depends on your personality.

Understand that live is much slower than online poker.
Boredom and fighting/keeping it under control in a live game is key. Because everyone is normally relatively bored, sitting (in casino) with a bunch of strangers.
But it gives you a chance to study your opponents, face to face.

For me the major advantage is that it is very difficult for players to collude/cheat easily in a live casino game. Online, I think cheating is rampant.

For me there is no way to play live. On this I play on the Internet. There is no casino nearby. And so I agree with you

Of course live poker is better. I think it,s easier to win money in live poker, also you will have new emotions in live game. Of course, it,s out of law in some countries, so you may just play online poker, or maybe not play at all. Anyway , tastes differ.

I think for a begginer it's easier to play online, because you don't know how to behave in a poker table.
When you know something about poker, you start studying opponents, than it really gets easier playing live.
My tips to play live: You must not show your emotions, good ones or bad ones, and must pay attention to everything any player does, study their way of reacting to card, stuff like this.

I enjoy live better. I think you can get a better read on your opponents. Also I feel like people tend to play somewhat tighter live than they would online. The pace of the game online is better. It is clear who's turn to act it is, what the action is, and is a little faster overall. However, I like the social aspect of poker as well, so I prefer live.

Playing online you have the possibility to avoid tells that playing live would appear. I have a lot more fun playing live but normally I play online.

Don't know that one is better than the other, given the differences. All in all, prolly prefer online. Difficult as it is for me to find a live game probably biases my answer.

They both have their pros and cons.

Online, you see way more hands - and I think seeing hands is the most important aspect at getting better at poker.

With that said, I think live poker is far more fun and has a lot more intricacies due to having to read the player (while trying not to make yourself readable).

Online poker players are also generally far more aggressive for some reason, where most live play tight-aggressive unless they are a fish.

I play live at this charity event thing every weekend, and I play on Americas Cardroom online. I believe that when you play online you receive more hands and there's a lot more bad beats, but playing live gives the player a better feel and you can actually see the dealer deal the cards. I've seen way to many runner-runner bad beats, online, that shouldn't have happened. In all the times that I shoved pocket aces pre-flop, I only win 50 percent of the times and that is the truth, even though aces are supposed to win 75 percent of the time. This is the exact reason I've never put money online. My biggest bankroll online was $18.67 which started from a freeroll. When I have the option to play live or online on a Saturday night, I choose live every time without a doubt.

One is not better per se. The strategies and type of game you have to play differ on each.

i think playing online is has more of an RNG factor because u cant really read your opponent. the only thing u can do is build a profile based on their past actions. IRL poker has more details that you can pull from your opponents and therefore reduces the randomness and increases interactivity.

In my opinion, it is better to live poker than online, because you can watch the emotions of players and be sure of the integrity of handouts.
