Anything under 50-100 dollars is low... variance can destroy your BR, if I knew exactly what your BR is I might be able to help you more.
Assuming its around 5-10, I would suggest you stay away from cash and tourneys, just grind .30 cent DD sattelite SnGs until your BR is high enough to move up to 2nl cash/1 dollar tourneys, around 30 dollars or so.

depends on what site you play, but no matter where you play i am pretty sure you can find a game with a really low buy in, for example pokerstars has 25c 90 man and 45 man sngs and 10c 360 man sngs. if you play it right you can make a couple of dollars and move up.
if your bankroll is above 25$ you could try playing 9 max 2nl and buy in for 1 dollar and just shove with a big pocked pair or 2 good cards like AK or AQ, that's how i did it and now i am doing fine.

wow thk you everyone and yes my br is around 8 dollars right now..I think I will try some 10 cent buyins..I don't have a pokerstars account but I am thinking about downloading it too...matter of fact i might use the banner here at cardschat..again thk you everyone who replyed to my help thread..

a friend of mine made a pokerstars account a week ago and got 1 dollar, maybe you will get 1 too. anyway what i wanted to tell you is that these 10c tournaments are really crazy and fast, if you can someone how bring your 8 dollars to pokerstars you can play those 25c non tourbo 45 or 90 man sngs which are a lot easier to win at because they are not turbo so you can wait for a hand.
