If you are a good player...and many people over-estimate their skill...the ODDS definately outweigh luck.
Granted if you are playing in big freerolls, even if you play the best you can, you will take bad beats and need some luck to get through the minefield of bad players.
In a real tournament or cash-game situation, odds/skill heavily outweigh luck. You NEED to get lucky to WIN a tournament. There is no doubt about that. However, without skill, you won't be in a position to get lucky that often.
Odds/Skill build a chipstack, luck wins tournaments (not the final hand, but puts you in a great spot to win).
