I raised preflop with QJ suited hearts to 12$ in a 2/3 blind game. KK calls, AK calls and some kind of queen calls.

Flop comes QQ5 all rainbow and KK bets 200$. I of course call, AK folds and turn is a 9. He again bets another 200$ (we have another guy with Q6 already all in on the flop with about 200$.) So I call again. River is a K giving him the nut full house... 1 outer to a full house and he hits it beating me out of the pot..... I feel like never playing again. This is at a Los angeles casino (hawaiian gardens)

Is this real cash game, if it is wow big pot. Yeah so bad luck.. poker is cruel sometimes. You don't need to cry over your destiny now. You played it good. Nothing to do.. i don't know even if you raised a lot on the flop, if you would make him fold KK :-( Lucky basterd, I'm feeling your lose.. wish you better luck next time.

It's hard to get rid of trips.. wish you more luck next time.. good he didn't raise more you could lose more I suppose. And about you said you feel like never playing again.. I recommend not to play few days, chill little, those kind of hands could tilt you for long time. Relax little, get over it, and than sit to play. Otherwise it could affect on your game, the wish to bring back money as fast as you can, can easily lead to losing more money. Just forget it! Good luck mate

no one is immune from such distribution, unfortunately you were in that situation when it was difficult to throw out (but it was possible, you did not take into account all possible combinations) so do not be upset - the distance will return everything))

So you are mad because you were 3rd best preflop ... sucked out on Kk on the flop and then lost when kings caught up. Sure you were a huge favorite after the turn but run your odds preflop and you were a dog.

If there was significant money in the pot and a flush/straight draw by the turn you played it less than OK. If not then just a cooler. In hold em you really want to get it in/ get your money sooner rather than later. Though I had similar experience. Yes you lost about $1,400 not $700. Take a lap and drink some water hopefully you are 60 x buy in bankroll managing.

Because we only supposed to play QQ KK and AK every hand right? go fck yourself kid

No I didn't say that keyboard warrior ... I said you were behind to start. Look at the entirety of the hand not just the last street and you will understand you are suppose to lose a large percentage of the time in this specific situation.

you're an antagonizer and a *********. Nothing more to it.

Hahaha ... I love internet heroes that are probably 20 years my junior. At no point was I rude ... you may have taken my post as antagonistic at best but it wasn't meant to be. My point was to make you see the whole picture and not just the bad river. This let's you see that yes it was a bad run out but looking at it from the guy with kings point of view, he sees it as justice. But hey ... you want to be low class and cuss and call names so move along I am done with this thread.

Way she goes man, but you said it yourself, you were trying to trap the fella, that's the thing about slow playing trips, and letting somebody catch up.

If you had re-raised on the flop, and/or the turn, this guy would have probably folded and you would have got a decent pot for yourself.

Similar thing happened to me not long ago in a live tournament. I limped in with AKo vs the big blind. The flop came A rag rag, the villain bets, I slapped a re-raise on it, the he goes all-in. I had him put on pair of A's and that's what he had Aces with 7 kicker. I had him dominated...

Until the 7 came on the river and knocked me out HAHAHA, not as bad as your beat but still 3 outs is slim. What I'm trying to say is that slow playing short of the crazy nuts is dangerous and can get you burned.

You just got an expensive lesson on slow playing your trips!

I did not want to risk my entire stack of 300 BB against his stack since he covered me , in case he shoved or something and he had pocket 5's for a fullhouse..... or a better queen than mine. He bet such an amount where if I reraised it would be practically my entire stack... I did have 500$ left after the hand. (started with a little over 900$)

Wait, KK AND AK only flatted your preflop bet?? LOL.

If they played their hands properly you would have folded preflop. (Or should)

It is a bad beat. You need to move on. My worst in a 1/2 multi way 1K pot was flopping full house. Hero AJ, flop AJJ
Turn 3, River 3 villian turns over 33 for quads.
