PokeRound.com is a total con as i have just been robbed of money from my account and others that were at the same table.

One poor guy had $350 missing from his but on emailing support they now say my username and password is not recognized.

I am now apparently banned from expressing my horror of missing money and will not be aloud back which is fine but they will not let me cash out my $245 i have in my account.

Can i complain or do anything about this or have i been conned like i suspect i have?

Thanks

Did you put an initial deposit via credit card into the account? If you do then you have proof of some transaction you've done with them. Start the chargeback process, go as far as calling the attourney general in their area for starters. It is even considered a trade per the FTC and you can also file with them as well.

warning for pokeround

:( You seem to know how to possibly get my money back.
Please could you give more dtails as i am so upset and angry over this matter

They will not reply to any emails or even speak on live chat

I originally played a free $10 deposit 1 month ago and lost it :( suprise suprise

I then deposited £10 from my visa card but to be honest i didnt really like the site and after i lost the money i uninstalled it,also there was only about a dozen people there at any one time (new site i suppose)

Recieved an email from them 4 days ago saying i had another $10 placed in my account for free to ask me back and play.

I reinstalled and played it and was happy to take it to over $250 but a fellow player says his accont was short of money around $350 so i checked mine to find mine was also missing some cash.

When i complained i was disconnected from site and could not relogg in no matter what i tried even my online chat would not let me speak to them

I have emailed them over 10 times with no reply exept one saying my account is barred and i have no funds available.

I have no idea what to do next

OK. First what was their stated reason for blocking your account? Twizzy is talking about American ways of dealing with fraudulent transactions. To be straight there might not be alot that can be done, but if after a few posts back and forth hopefully I can steer you in the best direction to get something done.

WOW! Thats alot of shit to look through! Although it would be nice if we were dealing with an ebay transaction were aren't. What the hell are the web police anyway? Never heard of them although they sound pretty cool. Twizz the main problem with internet gaming transactions is that they are ILLEGAL in the United States, that is why you see my skeptical attitude about poker legitimacy on display throught the forum. I have done alot of looking into it and believe me it can be EXTREMELY difficult to get anything done when you have a problem you and the poker room can't come to an agreement on. Having said that there are some things you can do; start with the gaming commision that licenses the site. That is what you do when you have a problem with an on land casino and is the best place to start when you have a problem with an online one. When you can't get it done the right way you post in every forum how TERRIBLE the particular card room is. A new room will be very concerned about this cause when people do a search they will come up with all the negative comments you posted! So would be pretty cool if you could single handed cause a room to go under huh? Least I think it would be

Yes this is true, totally forgot about that. Lesson from the boards well the posting rules on Ebay. How would you like people to say you are a fraud, yadda yadda yadda without any proof. It is all based skeptisism(sp). I mean I am sure that you wouldn't want me saying your a thief when in actuality you aren't. Or vise versa.. However those links aren't all about US based places. Even the Federal Trade Commision(FTC) is a good decent place to start. It sure isn't going to hurt to try to get your money back. I would at least do something. In this case I would rather at least be trying and possibly get my $$$. At least then when you tried it was an effort instead of not doing anything. One has to fight for what they believe is right.
