Hi all I'm new here...

I want to know what poker sofware do you use guys and their advantages and disadvantages! As all developers like to describe their software from the good side so desided to ask you guys :D

As for me I use Noble Poker from Real-3D-Games.com. If ever heard about this software want to know your points too. I like their interface and the fact that I play with others people not machine, but maybe I'm wrong?

I really like Fulltilts software. It has a great look on it and is fast.

Fast and stable are most important.

Easy to use lobby with ability to sort games and put multiple filters on.

Good player search facility.

As for avatars, I usually have them off (apart from at full tilt).

Good hand history files (like party networks compatability with poker tracker) Very important this one ;]

Probably some more but I would have to think

I would put Jetset and Noble in a good position as far as poker sites. I like the 3-d from noble and Jetset is very user friendly.

As with any software they could use some tweaking. Jetset if very similar to Full Tilt but is missing on thing I wish it had. Full Tilts ability to see the hands the other people mucked if they called a bet on the river.

Lot of valuable info from knowing that.

Full Tilt use to have a point system when it was in beta the rewarded Play money Players. To bad the didn't keep it.

And there biggest fault in my mind is the poor pay out structure of there Public freerolls. Paying on top 3 out of a field of 900 is not a bery good idea.

You need to give new players some money to win so they keep coming back.

They usually just end up blowing the win at the NL tables anyway. Why not give them a little money and earn rake for the website at the same time.

Hi - I am different - I like poker stars and Paradise. I think the software is more like a real live poker game where the cards come out one at a time instead of 3 at a time on the flop. Or an all-in - they come out flop, then one, then one ... instead of whizzing all of them out so you can't comprehend what they are that fast. Plus, they show the winning 5 cards.

I'm not a fan of the 3D guys/gals or the game show type of other sites or the oddball "all-in" by some NYer voice or sexy blonde. Just too hoaky. LOL I also don't like the the really fast software where you have to check the chat just to see what the winning hand was or who won because the whisk the cards away so fast.

But to each his or her own ...

1) The ability to see the hands the other people mucked if they called a bet on the river i think that it isn´t good. Of course it helps you, but also the other players can see what you have when you don´t want them to know it, and that´s bad. Anyway, for fortune that ability only works on play money games. When you play real money games you cannot see what your opponent have if he doesn´t show it.

2) Why does a site must reward play money players?

3) I agree that the payout structure of the public freerolls is poor, but in my opinion it isn´t a poker site obligation to have good freerolls. Freerolls are a favour they do to you, so it´s antiethical to demand good freerolls (of course if you are choosing a site by its freerolls, then FTP is one of the worst).
Also remember that FTP is one of the of three or four sites that you can withdraw your freerolls earnings if you didn´t make your first deposit before you played it.
If you choose another site for its freerolls payout structure, the money you win at those freerolls isn´t really yours. You have to make a deposit before you play the freeroll if you want to win its money, so if you make a deposit, why will you play a freeroll?...i think not for the money.

5) One other thing i like of FTP is that you can chat with the pros. Almost all of them are very nice and they answer to all the questions they can. You can talk about poker, life, make jokes or anything else with them.

ps: White Horse, try to download as much poker softwares as you can. Test them all and the choose the one you liked most.

I still play on partypoker the most to be honest.

Party real money games you can see what opponent didn't show at the showdown as well, personally I really like that. Sure they can see what you don't show as well but I don't see that as a problem.

If they see a bluff it helps with making me hard to read, they see a bad beat no problem there. Often the way I tend to play as well means that I don't get to showdowns very often, try to win the pot earlier, less hands you show down win or lose the better.

As for the pros on fulltilt, thats not really a software feature ;]

The common things between party and fulltilt are the speed of the play and simple lobby. When fulltilt sort out working with pokertracker I may move over there, until then can't really beat party ;]

Well, I only have like $4 at so I haven't tried the real money tables yet. Thanks for the info. And, yes, getting to see others hands that they folded on the river with a call is a double edged sword. Thankfully most people aren't even aware of this feature. Or, just don't think that much when they play. Plus, the number of times they get to see my hands at the river, if they even take the time to look at all, is a lot lower then I see theirs. So, statistically it is still an advantage for me. There are several sites that do this in their money games through the hand history feature. Lots of valuable information.

2) Why does a site must reward play money players?

I didn't say that a site must reward play money players. But, it is a nice little perk that shouldn't be over looked. Why? because it brings more fish out. They get some points use it to enter a money tournament and they are more food for the sharks to nibble one. :D

3) I agree that the payout structure of the public freerolls is poor, but in my opinion it isn´t a poker site obligation to have good freerolls. Again, If a fish has money in his hands he is likely to hit the money tables almost as soon as he gets it. Fish don't know the concepts of a good bankroll. And are just happy to be playing for real money. So, if you widen the field of winners you are increasing the number of fish you get to beat. Which in the long run is a good thing.

FTP definitely has some good features. I just have issues with the Freeroll payouts and the High Micro limit starting limits for games. Other than that I think it is great site. And when I get a decent bankroll I will start playing there more often.

5) One other thing i like of FTP is that you can chat with the pros. Almost all of them are very nice and they answer to all the questions they can. You can talk about poker, life, make jokes or anything else with them.

I have never caught a pro playing there. I guess I need to get there more often. I wouldn't mind chatting up with one and getting some clue as to how they play.
