I was playing the 1.20 satty to the miniftops.Anyway when I got to the final table there were two people at the table with the same name Vitkor and were both from russia. They would play against each other and chip dump and collude.I then went on the chat line and told everybody esle what they were doing finally the two viktor put a smile face on the chat and precceded to say that they did'nt care.Well I then came in second to one of the Vitkors.I wrote two e-mails to full tilt one to the cashier and one to support.I have been playing at FTP for 3 yrs this is the first it has happened.

Wow! Hard to believe that is the first time it has happen to you. I have seen it more than I care to but usually more subtle not using the same name but like they said they don't care so hopefully full tilt will take care of it. Hate that it might have cost u a 1st place win. Congrats on 2nd!

I wonder if FTP will do anything about it. I hope so. Hey, who knows, maybe you'll get some sort of compensation for catching them/being at a table with cheaters. Is there really a way to solidly prove collusion, though? I imagine it happens a lot more than I think it does, seeing as it's so easy to do when playing online. I used to play in some SnG's with friends before (we were on our laptops right next to each other), and it would have been so easy to help each other out, but I never did. It just felt wrong.

^^^With the emails it may not have cost him first. I am not sure how they handle tournaments but I do know when they investigate some things ppl will get refunds when they were victims of crap like this, this may only be if they can catch the cheaters funds in time I am not sure. Good luck and I am sure FT will handle this situation.

think i posted on here somewhere in one of those pitbull poker bashing threads about collusion. that happened to me once at pitbull but it was just a 10 cent sng....3 people. i just didn't play there anymore after...i knocked one of them out at least and cashed for my little 20 cents or whatever it was.

i just figured it was 3 assholes who wanted to give it a shot...test the waters at the micro-micro-micro stakes on a lame ass site. they weren't that good, even with 3 of them, i don't think they were good enough that it would work out for them unless they improved their game. really tight till there were 5 or 6 ppl left. then the one that was stacked would raise big, get re-raised by one of the other ones, he'd call, check/fold to their little bet, and they'd giggle about it. then they'd try to bully everyone's blinds, i guess it worked because the other ppl got impatient and busted out. i just started shoving, the weakest stacked one was next to me so he couldn't risk it. if i remember, i knocked out the former big stack after he re-loaded the weak stack. he couldn't let go of his pair of aces he hit against my 2 pair.

my take on it would be...if i hooked up with someone and tried to cheat, i don't exactly think it would be *that* easy to just take the thing over. that's my opinion...even in a sng. in a mtt, they would still have to final table or be at the same table at once and it shouldn't make too big a difference. its usually lousy players i would guess that would take a shot at that...which of course, is why they'd do it. it would take a few all ready decent players as far as i'm concerned

I know its not nearly the same thing but Ive seen people at the play money tables dump millions. This is highly frowned upon by ftp because they say that chip dumping play money chips for money (which is what some will tell you they are doing if you try and sit down with them) makes them a gambling site and that they are not a gambling site. Something about real money for playmoney would make them a gambling site but yet they have a 500k playchip freeroll every night at 8:40 so it beats the hell out of me whatever they mean by this.
On another note Ive been playing online at FTP for just over a year and I am yet to be a victim of this type of collusion.
