Your statement shows that you don't know very much about endgame strategy. When you are getting low and an aggressive player bets, your best move could very well be to shove, and having any Ace there is likely not a bad move.

but, some of her table antics are annoying

i hate when peeps call the clock on themselves, that's like admitting your wasting time and trying to prevent someone from calling you out on it

as far as how good she is, i think you could argue both ways ... yes, $3MM is nothing to sneeze at, but what is the total of all her entry fees, etc.

she is making money at poker, but i feel that it is more to do with endorsements and tournaments wanting her to be part of their field

vs. her pure poker skill, but having said that ... just being able to mix it up at that level is impressive

It was fun to sit at a table with her live. She was one of the Pro's at PokerCon. Yeah, she's got some annoying habits, and she did make a point of saying that she had won 3 million to date... For someone in their mid-20's, that's not all that bad.

She was visually interesting too...

Not hot, bunch of cashes but few wins, VERY annoying, easily schooled.

Also I think all the hating must be pure jealousy. She's no Phil Ivey but she's a good player and has more cash from poker than anyone on CC. She's also a pokerstars Team Pro and fairly hot (no Liv Boeree it has to be said)

Never understood the "she's so hot" thing, she looks sorta like a horse mixed with a brazilian tranny, total butterface. Decent player but really annoying in the big game, haven't seen much else of her tbh.

I'm not gonna belittle her skills also because she's made more money than i'll ever make through Poker but she is so damn annoying and she's not hot. 100% with your comment.

kara scott, lacey jones, liv boeree, nichoel peppe, leo margets, etc are so much hotter. they may not be as good as vanessa rousso in Poker but in terms of looks, i would pick any of those girls over vanessa rousso anyday.

As for poker level, i say annette obrestad and jennifer harman are the best female poker players.

Funny the EPT finale highroller is one of the many tourneys that she has actually won.
2 years ago if I remember correctly.

pokerdb has her on just over $3M in winnings, but she has won more than $4M.
And she has some huge onine cashes as well.

I sat two to her right at PokerCon. Hot? Yeah. Drop dead gorgeous? Not really. More of a girl-next-door kinda good looking. She is a bit loud, but that was because she was "the Pro" teaching the table. If I was single and about 30 years younger... yeah, I'd go for her.

Is she a solid poker player? Probably. You don't get $3-4M in winnings and hook up with PokerStars being a slouch. Even if your entries run you $100K a year, you are still wayyy ahead.

FWIW it'd be really easy to run up that amount and a heap more inside a year in the kind of events she's playing in. That's assuming all the buyins come out of her own pocket though, I don't know to what extent she'd be subsidised by Stars.

overall im down about $30 online, but that $30 was worth it for 6 years of playing online, since im really just a for fun/small stakes player ... my hope for poker profit was to win one of those monster weekend tourneys, since i never liked doing the multi table grind (i can do 2 )

this poker shut down came at a bad time, but im determined to make something positive out of it ... i actually finished in the prize pool for 2 Omaha freerolls on Carbon in just over a month ... one was $11 ticket and another $2.20 ticket ... i mean, it's kinda like winning jeffrey dollars, but i can still turn it into something and im learning Omaha ... was only a NLH player before

but when you add in home games, im ahead ... not sure exact figure, but gotta be $500 ($100/year) over the 5 or so years we have been playing

ha, oh and i should mention i drink while playing often .. makes it more fun, but clearly it's affected my play here and there ... but again it's about enjoyment ... u have a few beers and bully a .02/05 table ... good times .. unfortuntately that is why im down overall ... won initially playing aggressively ... but maybe peeps started using some stats on me ... but tourney-wise, whether home or online, im up

but again, Vanessa is cute and she has made money at poker ... i just feel that if she looked like Kathy Liebert, we wouldnt even know her and she'd probably be -$30 like me
