I'm playing a microstakes tournament and I didn't have enough BBs to protect myself if I shoved, so I just waited for the bubble to burst. After the bubble burst I had 2 BBs and I was UTG. Usually I tell myself I shove any 2 because I'm all in no matter what next hand and I could win more chips this way. Well this time I woke up with 32o. Should I still shove it or pray with my BB hand?

Wait for the BB. 32o is a terrible hand and most of the time you will be dealt a better hand than that if you wait for the BB.

I come across alot of players that will shove ATC UTG if they are really short. IMO you should fold and take your chances on a big blind special rather than put it in with a terrible hand. (avg. hand is Q7)

I'm not sure what others think about this but if I don't have a half decent hand (connected/suited/A/K/Q/pair) I'll wait and hope to get lucky in the big blind.

i would say shove it and hope to get lucky. lets say you shove and get 2 callers if you win you get 6 BBs plus the antes. if you wait . 1) your not guarenteed a good hand and 2) if you win this hand with two callers your only getting 3 BBs and your pretty much in the same position you started.

actually i think its better to wait for the BB till you make your move. Aside from possibly getting a better hand, your making the move in the BB which means you only have to pay the SB next hand and then free cards after that. And your the last to act in the hand so your likely to have other limpers (even though most are not folding to a 2BB as you have no fold equity anyways). although i probably would do this with a little more then 2BB as your probably at the ATC show in any position situation. but i could be wrong.

In this circumstance you should wait for the big blind. Whatever hand it is has to be better than 23o

edit: could it be argued that he should shove because the pot is so large already, compared to when he is in the BB and he makes up most of the pot with the blind himself?
