If you think that stuff like this happens only online because online poker is rigged, you should watch this one to change your perception. :D

Offline too often badbeat, but not as much as on pokerstars just awful :D but this can be explained by the fact that less hands played offline.

That stings.... but with A 5 and shorty stacked, I would have done the same. Yes, sometimes, lighting strikes.

I've asked several players what they think the reasons for online poker being rigged are.
'To reward bad play' or silence are the 2 most common.
This just shows to me that 'rigged' is just their way of saying, 'I'm too good to loose on a non-rigged table'
LOL

The best argument I have heard..... It is so the pot is bigger in a cash game, thus increasing the rake. This is one that could hold merit.

I don't agree with it but it would make make sense.

Ugh I've seen things like this happen online all the time, to me. Dominating and leading all the way until the river.

Ouch...

Last CC Bovada freeroll, action is folded around to me in the SB and I raise with 77. BB thinks a while and shoves, I call. He's got 99. I think, well that's most of my stack gone more likely than not.

The flop is all spades, neither one of us has a spade. The turn is a spade.....and so is the river. Split pot with K high flush, five spades on the board.

He's of course disappointed, I'm more than a little relieved.

This is what I think at times when it comes to online poker. Cards dealt that will almost guarantee lots of action. Not that is is rigged for any one player to win so to say but rigged as to generate more betting all the way to the end so that the rakes can be increased.

It's just you begin to also observe those lost hands you win. So, you'll see that the only surprises occur as often because too many hands are played.

That would only hold true for cash games. But you hear just as many rigged claims in S&Gs and MTTs with no rake.

Mostly I think the rigged claims are from people who don't have any sense of perspective. They get upset after losing a 65-35 hand. Running a poker tracker would help them with the bigger picture.
