ultimate bet players

Ive been playing at UB for a LONG time. Just noticed they changed how you earn points. Used to be if you were at a ring game and not sitting out, you got points. NOW you have to have a bet in. bonuses were never easy to clear totally for the low limit player, but you always got SOMETHING, and could tell what. now they are just getting greedy, in my opinion

tomcat, UB has the worst reputation of all name poker sites....the customer service is horrible. Why people play there is beyond me. Poor Shawn Rice (WestTexasMan) the nicest guy in the world and he is stuck endorsing such a POS site. Look in the archives on P5's for countless tales of UB's poor support and questionable account freezing etc. A lot of the top internet pros don't even bother with UB anymore.

I noticed this, too.

You used to get points if you were dealt a hand. Now you only get points if you contribute to the pot. For a tight player, they made it 5 times harder to accrue points and clear bonuses. Plus, I noticed their hats in the points store went up from 2400 to 4000.

I was thinking of firing off a dissatisfied email to them. The last time they made a stupid change, it was the 4-hand limit on the hand history window. When they got a bunch of sour emails, they raised the limit to 100. It could work with this change, too.

Most places have a certain rake per hand that must be reached for all players to get points (Stars & Titan do this, among others). UB could at least do that. Maybe crank up the earning rate a little to compensate. Then only the penny & nickel players would have a hard time earning.

I love UB's software, but they always seem to come up with some hair-brained changes that seem to piss off most of their customers.

UB: sweetest structure for SNGs of any of the sites.
Also, they just recently added 0.50/0.05 tournaments.
