Another bad trend is starting to emerge in tournaments I play in (real and online) over the past two weeks. I get bad beats when I have two pair and the player I'm up against has trips. I'm talking high two pair like queens and kings, aces and kings, etc. The trips are usually the lowest trips 2,4,6, etc, making it more frustrating. Has this ever happenend to you?

Everything and anything bad that can possibly happen to someone at a poker player has happened to me...so...yes! Including that ultimate table turner, the flip-flop full house. When the board double pairs against your set, giving you the smaller of the two boats. And usually taking most of your chips in the process. Or how about my personal favorite...making your Ace-high flush on the river with the same card that gives the other guy his full house? That one NEVER gets old!!
God, I love this game!

I too have lost every possible way you can think of at the tables. Around the job, I have the nickname "badbeat". My personal favorite was when I was holding pocket aces, and the flop came ace, king, king. Needless to say, the other guy had pocket kings.

re: Poker & The Two Pair and Trips Curse
Yeh there have been so many times when i have the flush after the flop with the lower kicker. The person stays in and raises your bets so of course you call. On the river comes the 4th card of your flush giving them the flush with the higher kicker.

See, my problem is that I will have high pairs or trips and lose to a straight or flush. Seems to happen every time.
