I play in the $6.00 Jackpot SNGs on Titan, I normaly do very well,i have just missed the jackpot of winning 5 games in a row a few times.

The last few few days i have not come in the top 3.

I am going in with the best hand 95 percent of time but keep getting sucked out on. I floped the nut flush and someone sucked out by hitting runner runner making a straight flush. Its been happening like that for days

This morning i have lost 15 sngs in a row going in with the best hand everytime

I am trying to ride it out but its grtting hard

What would you all do???

It's hard when that happens. I switch games for awhile (I find Razz to be a nice change of pace) or stay away from playing poker for a couple of days. Maybe I pick up a poker book and re-read it.

In SNGs, particularly, I normally do well enough that not cashing for a stretch messes up my confidence. Especially if I don't think I did anything wrong.

The chances are, though, that when I have gone thru a long stretch of not cashing at SNGs, I am doing something wrong. The last hand, where I got it in with the better of it, is usually not the problem. When I consider the past games, I realize that I have become sloppy somewhere in there. I am usually calling all-ins when I shouldn't and know I shouldn't. Like when I have a big PP and there's 3 to a flush on the board (and my PP doesn't have that case card.) For some reason, after a series of wins, I forget I am not Ms. Luck. Once I relocate the Fold button, I tend to get back on track.

Keep playing. But perhaps before you do, re play your games, or your critical hands. Often it is like having sex with someone with a STD. It feels good at the time, but later you realize it was a mistake.

Post your critical hands in the appropriate section. And include any reads you have on your opponents. It really is so often, when replaying games, and using the reads you had in retrospect, you realize where you could have maybe played different. And maybe you are just dealing with variance - aka bad luck, cooler etc. - and its gonna happen. But post game analysis is imperative to improving, and seeing if your "right plays" really were.

and as doops said, maybe before you continue playing, read a book, read an article, watch a few vids......... can never hurt....

In the end, and over time, almost all of us will be losers. More than likely the problem is not your game, but your luck.

going in with the best hand everytime
Be careful with this statement. Just because you are ahead at the moment does not mean you have the best hand. This kind of thinking can mess with your head when you 'lose with the best hand going in'.

Play the game right and learn--which it sounds like you are really trying to do. Very nice. Most people just want to yell and scream. Looking for holes (we all know they are there) in your game while you feel like you are playing well, will greatly increase your understanding of the game imo.

Cheers

For the love of God I hope you are joking with this statement.

Depends on if you are willing to learn the game and understand this statement. Casual players never grasp this concept and will blame 'luck' on their bad play--which is totally fine because that is the seat with the money in it ;)

Some times the poker Gods are trying to tell you some thing. Maybe you just need to take a break for a couple of days until the stars line up again in your favor.

Yes it can.

I thorght skill over ruled luck in the long run
yes it can and usely does. But like vollycat suggested it is about learning the game. And sometimes to win we have to fold. Even if it means folding the best hand. Sometimes we get caught up in our hands and tend not to read the table as we should. jmo.

I dont play titan, but i know the feeling. Ive been having a terrible run this week on FT. What I do is just take a break for a few days. Ive noticed that when Im running bad it just continues, so i take a break, and when i come back im good

Good to see your getting results but I still suggest you take a break from sngs for awhile. Sometimes you can't see when your making questionable decisions if your tilted. My best advice would be to do some activities not related to poker and then ease your way back into playing. Good luck.
