About 2 weeks ago in my regular monday evening game, I witnessed something very similar to this. There was trip queens, then a straigh, then the third guy hit his royal flush. Would never have believed it if I didnt see it with my own eyes. So it can happen.

That sort of thing will happen in poker. You did not mention if the dealer happened to end up with the royal flush, should that be the case I would certainly recommend breaking his hands just to be on the safe side.

Wow! I know it happens but to see it there is something else! I suppose that was the 3rd and final hand of the game since you all went all-in right?
The guy with the Royal must have been crapping his pants getting that much action on the 3rd hand with those cards showing! Thanks for the picture that was totally cool :)

it was intense to say the least, the POCKET ACES guy nearly folded because the STRAIGHT FLUSH went all in of teh flop, i folded my JJ and ROAYAL FLUSH called but aces decided to go in as well, then ace on turn, he jumps up in delight, then bam, [ 10c ] i was left to play again ROYAL FLUSH with my stack of 1000 against his 5000, i lost

On Prima Pokers site there is a running bad beat jackpot that is currently at about $78 000.

Your table would have qualified for it and everyone on the table would have had a share!!

Was the Gentleman on the left allin? It appears he shorted the pot one purple chip. If so, it appears he hits his Royal on the river. I am curious what the betting patterns of the hand were. Did this knock the rest of you out of the tourney, or did you all survive because he was short stacked.

No shame in any of it. Im going broke no matter which hand I had. I may be able to get away from the flush in the lower right, but even thats a stretch.

Id like to cook this hand, as I find it amazing. There is some fun math in there. How did this play out street by street?

Thanks,
Bill

OK I believe I can lay down the 89 of clubs. This is killing me...
Where is the button who bet what, and when did they bet it.
I really want to analyze this hand, I will be happy to share results

Thank you,

Bill

Laying down 89c before the river, I could perhaps see, but hardly after the river, or? JJ would be my hand to lay down, if any of them.

Blinds 25/50 starting stack 1500, players are on pretty much starting money at this stage, [js] [jh] is on the button

[8c][9c] calls blind
[js][jh] raises to 100 (me)
[qc][kc] calls
[ad][as] calls ?? (no reraise)
[8c][9c] calls again

pot = 400

FLOP [ac][7c][jc]

[qc][kc] opens 250
[ad][as] raises to 900 (player is very agressive, if he has a hand, he takes the pot and runs)
[8c][9c] calls, but does think hard about it
[js][jh] i call because i put [ad][as] on 1 ACE and a low card (how wrong lol) i knew flush draw was there but 4 parts of a full house
[qc][kc] calls knowing his cards give him 4 parts royal and fullest flush at the time

pot = 4000, no body wants to loose this pot by now

TURN [ah]

[qc][kc] checks
[ad][as] ALL IN 350
[8c][9c] calls 350 leaving 150 in her stack (reason, small price to pay, "iv invested so much already")
[js][jh] I fold my house because i now realise that it is not ACE/LOW its ACE/BIG maybe another ace (900 to late to realise lol)
[qc][kc] calls 350 leaving 200 in his stack (reason, wrongly picked [ad][as] as a thief, remember he is very loose, crazy, a maniac if you will)

pot = 5050

RIVER [10c]

[qc][kc] ALL IN 200
[ad][as] nothing to do except grin, thinkin he has the nut hand
[8c][9c] quickly calls with straight flush
[js][jh] FOLDED ALREADY

SHOWDOWN, LOOK AT PIC, it was massive

P.S most of the pot is to the left of the pic, on top of teh burn cards, hope this helps you all

Strong laydown on the turn. Not sure I would have gone that route with the pot already being as big as it was, but clearly you made the correct move.

And jebus on a scooter, what a hand. With deeper stacks, the aces might have been able to push the flushdraws out on the turn, but with the small raises left, I don't see it ending up any other way than it did.

Edit: Not that I can imagine the aces wanting to push anyone out. Getting busted by a straight flush is hardly something that you worry too much about when you're holding quad aces.

Dont understand your fold of JJ full house? there's not a lot of hands you're behind (AA, AJ (and you've got 2 of the 3 J's) and A7) and the pot odds (and implied pot odds) are huge!! Are you saying you folded by mistake? If not, what was your reasoning?

i folded the house, because

1 i didnt just fold it, i thought long and hard about it, read some body language so on so forth, (iv seen phil helmuth fold pocket kings pre flop)

2 4 aces guy is a maniac, yet somewhat predictible, and after my stupid 900 call i watched very hard to any sign of strength/weakness, when turn came, he breathed harder through his nose than usual showing me he was relieved, grabbed his chips instantly showing me he wanted to bet all of his chips, and slouched in his chair showing me he was confident,

also, i wanted to stay in the game a touch longer, i lost in heads up in like 3 hands or sumin like that, i should have just called but i didnt

Holy, I may have to run these calculations on a computer. This is the most amazing holdem hand I have ever seen. The only thing woulod have been if the JJ was KK, and the royal was made with QJ in the pocket. That would have made Kings full. Which I now wish was the case as it makes the math even more ridiculous. The Jacks full is 2 from the nut boat.

Sorry to be the one who crashes the party....but I don't believe one word of that.

When I saw the Royal Flush and the Quad Aces, I thought that it was a little fishy...but I believed it. Then I looked again and saw the other straight flush. Sorry, but having a straight flush, a royal flush, and quad aces in one hand is possible...but so is winning the lottery 10 times in the row (and nobody has ever done that either)
