I'm curious to what games most people prefer and reasons.

I prefer to play nolimit holdem with three thousand starting stack and ten minute blinds. I doesn't really care for all the reentry and rebuy games so a freeze out game is my choice. I think it makes you play better knowing you cant buy back in. I`m also not a big fan of long late registering. I think once your starting stack is less then ten big blinds ,that should be last level you should be able to register. I have been running good in plo8, cashing in a lot of tourneys I have been in. Plo8 is a whole another game compared to holdem. Best of luck in life and on the felts to everybody.

I earn the most money playing cash games, but I like playing tournaments more. For less money, i can play longer, not to mention that, imo, there is less gambling in tournaments as oppose to cash games where there are a lot of family pots, lots of limping and unreasonable 3-bets. Don't really like S&Gs since they usually bring you low amounts of money despite a lot of time you need to invest to get there.
If I need to invest a lot of time, better to do it in a tournament for more money :)

I seem to make the most on cash games. I do still like to play tournaments though.

Live cash games. I'm only recently playing online and I find it a completely different experience. There are no nuances to guide you. There isn't any subliminal queues that one can either give off or pick up on to assist with the decision making process.

I've become spoiled with having access to live cash games in NY, but it keeps me out of the house a lot and my wife bitches, so I've attempted to switch to online play.

It just aint the same

prefer cash games. but when I do play tourneys I like to play slower structure deeper stacks mtt's. I'm most playing a tag style and do better the more hands I see at above 20BB.

I play in tournaments and cash games, when I wait for a tournament long time, then I play a cash game, tournaments are also a good way to raise money, but you need to wait a long time and you can not win and spend a lot of time in the tournament, I get to play and win more money in the cash game - but I like to play in a tournament with a knockout you can immediately get money for knocking out a player!

I think it's easier to make money in cash games than in tournaments, but I rather prefer play tournaments. I don't tournaments with long later registration periods and lots of rebuys too.

Every format has its own ups and downs and some advice that I keep seeing again and again is to pick whichever you are strongest @ and make it your specialty. I really like cash games but I am starting a STT sit and go Challenge tomorrow. MTTs are just too high variance for me right now. I do want to make the transition but I will start at STTs until I have built some cash up to pay my way into the larger field MTTs

I prefer to play tournaments, but I finance my entry fees through cash games. PL omaha is my main cash game. I feel that tournament entry fees are a luxury because of the high varience. So I start the day playing cash games with the goal to win enough cash to spend on tournament entry fees.

Tournaments, sitngos, cash games with this row. Tournaments because they have the time to develope your game and so you need less luck. Stngos are similar and cash games are played less than others.

I suck at online cash games, but do OK live. Ive always been a better MTT player than anything else by far, but I personally enjoy the cash games better, especially live

It's better to play free tournaments because you will gain experience and not lose money.

I like to play standard MTT, with normal blind structure on time and without rebuys ,that is, if there is enough time .. such a MTT at the present time more like a real poker (the Hyper turbo.. the turbo alone billing and poet you need more luck . )but this is my opinion...

More like to play sit & go at a table with 3 players, if you act wisely, there is a chance to get a good jackpot, with a minimal investment, specifically you know what prize is the game.

I find out that I play so comfortable at Sit & Go's , it's not tough and doesn't take too much time like other tournaments ... At cash game I need a lot to learn , I can't beat the game yet , and I have a huge downswing at cash haha
