Lets say you have more than double the average chip count, 120 players left and you're in 9th position.

Do you limp when possible to try and catch a lucky hand? I folded a bunch of hands like 8-10 suited because that's just what I normally do and then, result oriented comment alert, I know I would knocked 1 or 2 people out. So do I limp if I can?

I know I'll lose more hands then win, just saying should I loosen up a little? Or keep playing my game and slowly drop down in position just to get farther in the tournie?

I partially agree with aliengenius. If you are in late position, even with 8-10 suited (which all in and all isn't that bad of a hand) I would raise, a small raise... 3x the big blind. Hopefully that gets you down to about one or two players. Flop comes out and if they check to you throw another bet in there, pot size or 3/4 size, whether you hit the flop or not. It is a very good way to pick up small pots.

Now if you have some suited connectors, or cards you want to get in for cheap, in bad position: limp. There is nothing wrong with it, but it is looked against usually. If you flop big bet it out into the players behind you.

This is just my opinion, so anybody can give theres below.

Depending on your table image, you raise if your image is tight, and limp if you have a loose image
