I took a liking to him the first Time I heard of him, I dunno there just something really funny watching someone play the way he does and been able to win doing it. I am not criticizing him he is one of the best players on the planet, just I always root for the guy and It seems most people I talk to hate him.

So I was just wondering what general attitude towards him is like maybe a survey do you like Tom Dwan or hate him etc.

Certainly fun to watch, and seems like the type of guy who is able to treat thousands of dollars as though they're just play chips. :D

Durrrr hasn't been around very long yet was almost nominated for induction into the Poker Hall of Fame- a testament to his influence on the game....

He is an excellent cash game player, and seems to have a command of heads up play. He can be super aggressive and then switch gears and lay down top pair.

It has been interesting watching Phil Ivey and Durr play on Poker After Dark. Phil just seems to know when to make a move and when to let go of a full house. Phil is a more refined player. Durr is still young. Durr is very good, but I think he needs more experience against the top pros.

I'm waiting for Durr to win a major poker tournament. He probably will sooner or later, but I'd like to see how long it'll take. I just hope for his sake that he doesn't burn out.

Great player with guts. He seems to very creative and can get a few calls when it looks like no action.

He has a funny way to toss the chips in.

He seems to have radar sense that he tunes into when he's playing, like he goes into a trance. Ivey does the same thing. Their eyes get kind of weird. I think that's his edge, his intuition. He's not a by-the-book player. But apparently there is a price, as he's said to have wild bankroll swings.

Seems like a nice, decent kid with talent to spare.

I think we need to come up with a name for his style of play.........
loose aggressive chasing lucky donkey. I think he has aggresion and luck on his side, along with unpredictablilty.
I would not play agaisnt him. I am not sure why anyone would choose to play him,

He's definitely a great player.............but I really can't stand to watch him or hear him. Iv'e noticed that he always looks up torwards the ceiling to the left, it's freakin annoying, maybe thats where he channels the poker gods for info.

I was watching Poker after dark last night with Phil and Dwan involved in a hand. Dwan raised to 2200 preflop with 8 7 offsuit, phil reraised to 9000 with 10 8 diamonds, dwan reraised to 29000, and phil comes over the top again to 84000 and dwan folded. What a sick read by Ivey!!:D

Ironically though, Dwan was dominated. Phil had the best hand. I suspect Dwan had decided he was going to make a move with this hand preflop (before he even got his cards), and Phil had picked up a tell. Dwan is mostly an online player, so he hasn't really had to worry about tells.

He's a great player, but he also seems to get luckier than the average great pro player, which irritates those of us who tend to get unlucky. Plus, he reminds me of the kid in 3rd grade who always had a booger hanging out of his nose! Uh...does he even shave yet?

Same dynamic as big cash players, Brunsons, Chip Reese, Ivey. Willing to bet big at anytime. They are great card players, but also great gamblers. They win the most, but also lose the most.

It's an art really. Making skill look like luck. Durrr's not the only one who does it. He mostly just seems to do it better than most.

BTW love the stare. Ivey's eyes go all wiggly and dart around. Love Dwan's blank stare. He'd make a terrific corpse on one of those CSI shows. That sounds awful, but you know, cuz he can sit so perfectly still and just stare into space without blinking.

I think one of the reasons he has been successful is because of his reputation besides being good. phil ivey is still better for sure.
