Tip:
The online poker rooms aren't going anywhere. They have their doors open 7 days week all day and night.

So if you blow 200 bucks in an hour, there's no reason you need to get that 200 back as soon as possible.

This was my 1st losing day in a while, but the silver lining for me was I let it go and thought of the above concept. Stars and Full tilt will be open tomorrow, the day after that, and the day after that etc

So true. Sooooo many people lose a bit of their bankroll, and then lose the majority of it while chasing the first amount they lost. But it is not always easy to walk away when you are down.

I always put a time/money limit on my play and quit when it's time (unless I'm winning) or have lost my at risk money. Management seems to be very important in building your BR. You can lose it quickly but it takes time to accumulate.

I will usually quit for the day if I lose 3 sit and go's in a row. At the very least, I'll take some time to see if I am playing bad or just unlucky. Then I'll go run errands or do something for about an hour before starting up again.

GREAT TIP

Last Night I was up $30, but ended down $20 at a 5 cent/10 cent table.
Swings are just part of the game.

You must always know when to say when even if you think your luck is going to turn around the next hand it maybe best to quit for the day and try another day.

knowing when to walk away wether up or down is 1 of the hardest parts of poker, when ur winning u think its never gonna end, and when ur losing u just wanna win it back..

once uve mastered it ull always be a winner....(overall)

Didn't Kenny Rogers sing a song about this...

"...know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away, know when to run..."

oh yeah, its the "Gambler"...seems fitting, doen't it?
