So I enter a $3 rebuy with about 580 entrants and spend about $35 in rebuys and addons and finish 60th...but only the top 54 got paid.

It's not only literally the 10th rebuy in a row in which I've bubbled. I played a perfect tournament with nary a single mistake and just didn't get results.

It's time to face the fact that I've hit a wall and will never be better than I am right now...and that my best just isn't good enough. I'll always and forever be a losing player.

So I've told the poker site to close my account and use my last $11 to buy themselves something nice.

Because inconstancy is my middle name, I'll be back to playing poker again in about two weeks, if not less. The only reason I was put on this earth is in order to be humiliated by not sticking to a single decision I ever make. Our dear diddler God, Who "loves" His children the way a pedophile "loves" to _molest_ children, and Who in fact does nothing but molest us, has no other use for me. He gave me the desire for happiness so that I would do nothing other than suffer...and then be expected by the religious nutbars of this world to "offer up my suffering as a gift to Him."

But enough about that. I just wanted to let you guys know that there's no reason for me to post here any more...until my resolve gets broken and I am humiliated by playing poker again. Then I'll be back here and there will be no need for anything to be said.

F*** I wish I were dead.

I don't think I could ever abandon $11 online. I'd *have* to spend it, even if I just donked it off.

But I guess spending it is better than giving it one of those people who pop in and begs for $ transfers.

Sorry to see ya go. Best of luck in the future.

Don't mean to pile on, but spending $35 in a $3 rebuy tourney doesn't sound like a perfect tournament.

Post some hand histories and I think you will find that you are playing FAR from perfect. Just a hunch.;)

we all go through bad spells. Last 2 months have been a nightmare for me, so many bad beats or running into monsters.

Lost count the nmber of times I have been all in preflop with AA and got beat. Loads of times AK against smaller Ace only to get rivered.

Raise with big pairs and smallish flop for other player to hit a set on flop. Standard raises with AA and evreyone fold sometiems seems the poker gods are against you or every one can see your cards LOL.

Hopefully eventually come out the other side :)

Why was I expecting something perverted when I opened this thread?

Anyways, spending $35 in a $3 rebuy is insane. IMO, after the second rebuy, you are only adding onto the prize pool. Instead of continuing to rebuy and add more, just leave. And if you only have $11 and you spend $35 on rebuys, it sounds like a total of $46, which would have put that tournament out of your BR. Instead of trying to get the huge score, try some $1 sng's. Grind it up, and have some fun with poker. If you do this, you will value your money a hell of a lot more, you will gain expierience, and most importantly you will have a good time once you begin winning at these levels and gaining confidence. Hope you come back to playing poker and posting with us!

Don't get so down on yourself. Perhaps a course in money management might be in order. If you buy in and re-buy 10x and add on once you would need to clear atleast that much just to break even. Even if you place in the money and only win $30 it's not a $30 win it's a $5.00 loss. Just remember there is no such thing as perfect poker. Sometimes you can play a hand absolutely correctly and, still lose. It happens to everyone. Just because you got the nuts pre-flop, on the flop, or on the turn, it does not mean you will have the nuts on the river. If luck weren't involved Phil Hellmuth would win them all

They can be a laugh if you're rolled for them though :D

Tend to agree with Van, $35 in a $3 rebuy isn't insane. It's... what, nine rebuys plus the add-on, or three or four double rebuys? Not uncommon for this kind of game.

If you are a gambler stay out of the poker rooms and go to the casinos. If you are a poker player take some time to learn the game. If you are a complete idiot next time transfer that 11 dollars to MrMuckets I'm always in need. And if you are a psychotic and want to kill yourself GET HELP.:eek::eek:

NO offence, but I agree with the others on this one. I don't know how you can claim you played a perfact game when you spent $35 on re-buys.
I started a thread yesterday about a player who kept going all in then rebuying over and over again. All he did was make the rest of the table deep stacked.

Yes, $35 on a $3 rebuy is insane!!! No questions asked... Steer clear of rebuys. You see how some people agree it isn't uncommon? Yeah they got your money and patient players got theirs! Spending like that forces you to place in the top 20-50 players or so just to break even most of the time! Luck can only play so much of a role in poker, don't try and lean on it! Good luck when you come back to the tables for another go just stick to your game plan and stay patient.

It's really not that insane*.

Watch the early rounds of the rebuy events at this year's World Series: you'll see much crazier than that, and for a lot more money.

* It may have been ill-advised from a bankroll management point of view though, if spending $35 on this tournament meant OP only had $11 left in his bankroll. But my original comment, and I think most would agree, had the rider "if you're properly bankrolled for them"

Yes... what he said! Rebuys are rediculous. If I can't win and have lost my money in the first place that's the way it's supposed to be. No need to keep going back for more punishment!!!!

then why do some of the best internet tournament players play them every day?

sighhhh
