Just like to thank everyone for helping my game enough to come in 2nd in a 2.20 180 person sitn'go, without the help of everyone here I would never had dreamed of coming in that high a position.

This was the big hand that pretty much insured 2nd and not 1st for me, as i feel i could have beaten the winner. I realized i played it poorly, but at least i can say that was one of my only mistakes.

pokerstars Game #20109761075: Tournament #105942870, $2.00+$0.20 Hold'em No Limit - Level XX (3500/7000) - 2008/09/03 3:07:27 ET

Seat 6: boogieman420 (big blind) showed [3s 7s] and won (234634) with a flush, Ace high
Seat 8: LAGFLOP (button) mucked [Jd Jh]

Anyhow, my stats for the game were as follows:

Saw flop: 18 out of 110 hands
Showdown winning/hands played: 12/15 lost the final hand, AK to 79 preflop all in where the guy pretty much had to shove, and the big hand i posted above
Hands won without showdown: 13

I played quite tight and people actually noticed so I was able to take some big pots with reputation alone ( my first 3 showdowns i had QQ, KK, QQ in about 40 minutes)

Overall a great tournament and now i am excited to continue as my goal was to make the FT in about 3 2.20 sitn'gos this month.

Why do you think you played this hand badly? You got all of you money in the middle of the table as a favorite, that is all you can do.

Bet more off the flop but i guess hindsight is 20/20. I only say that because i see what people had now and realize i could have pushed so and so off a flop. I guess it wasn't a poor play.

Congrats to you! This place has helped me out in the same way. I've actually started a blog to keep track of my progress. Check it out and think about starting one of your own.

Nice going, Lemly. 4:1 chip lead HU if that river didn't hit. No rail call?

Your right if you had bet preflop you probly would have made him fold, and atleast you would have got the blinds.
Apart from that well done mate 2nd is still good.

You don't want to push him off you just want him to pay to much to draw which you did.

the pot on the flop was 16100 you bet 10000 giving him the wrong price to draw to the flush as you need about 4:1 to make a call correct his call was a mistake.

you checked the Turn and then he semi bluff bet 35000 questionable play on his part but a great result for you. Don't forget he only has 7 clean outs not 9 as a paired board will give you a full house beating his flush.

You actually played the hand perfectly and just got a crappy result.

Congrats on the 2nd place...a different card on the river and your crush this Sit & Go.

Haha yea I am sort of superstitious about rail calls. I was in the process of doing a call one time when i went bust. So now I don't make them. However I still should have for this one. I knocked out like 7 of the final 18 people so it was a great tourney

Really well done, and sorry, you didnt play that final hand poorly, you in fact played it very well. You were just unlucky and when luck kicks in theres nothing you can do.

You got your money in and he managed to suck out with a lucky river.

Dont beat yourself up over it. To get 2nd out of 180 is a great effort and take pride in knowing only one person beat you and he only managed that through a lucky river card when he was actually favourite to lose.

The goon shouldnt have even been in the pot with 7 3 anyway...:D
