Hey all, remember my post about starting the "grind" lol. low level poker is not poker. thats all there is to it. horrible run, nothing i could do about it. I'm not playing online poker again until i have at least 3000 dollars to deposit and play real poker. Playing low level poker honestly is stressing me out to the point of me getting pissed off almost every time I play, it's not fun at all, there's no point in playing, I'll just let the donkeys and fish play amongst themselves from now on. Anyone telling yourself that you can make decent money consistently at these levels are just fooling themselves. Sure your the best player at the table, but what's that matter? It doesn't.

You have a point about low limit poker. Are you plaing limit or nl ??? from what i have seen all newplayers love nl and just play horrible on the low limits of nolimt poker so i stay away because of the lack of control. But If you are dont have much money the best place to make a bankroll or even just play is limit, sure there are suckouts but if you think about it the donkeys or fish as you say are there to and they have there minds set on what they saw on tv. They dont know pot odds or what can happen if they call in early postion with k3 os use this to your advantage. Play your pot odds and put your money in when it counts. Make them pay to play and pad your wallet with the money they earned from burger king. Sure they will suck out sometime maybe 5 times in a row but if you play your best and play smart you will win in the long run. Remember the little fish are only fish food for the bigger fish but big fish are dinner for sharks.
see you on the battlefield And good luck

I call lolimit (KENO). You can't out play people because they don't know enough to fold.

At the higher stakes you can take down pots by simply setting up bluffs now and than.

What I mean about setting up bluffs is realy simple. You can call with a straight draw but when the board pairs or hits 3 to a flush, you can make a move and take down the pot against a good player. Just make sure that you make a bet big enough to give bad pot odds if they pickup the nut flush draw.

You can pull this off usualy 2 out of 3 times against good players. Just can't do it too often.

While I would rather play at higher limits than I am at (5c/10c NLHE) I don''t have a problem taking money from people at this level. You just have to realize who you are playing against and adjust your game. Although you take some suckouts, fish looking for runner runner are a godsend in the long run. If you actually go to a table that has only 25-30% of players seeing the flop the play may be to your liking.

Basically my strategy at the micros boils down to. Play super-tight, and try and suck as much money as possible out of your opponents when you hit. I tend to limp in with medium/low suited-connectors and small pocket pairs. Bet any hands better than that aggressively, and fold the remainder. It's boring, but I usually play 2 tables + do something else to keep me playing the way I need to. I bring 5% of my BR to the table.. so if I have 50, I'll bring $2.50 to each table. It is a slow grind, but.. I'm building my BR up so that I can afford to play a more "straight" game at the .25/.50 and up tables.
