I'm curious as to what people's thoughts are about players taking advantage of the auto-sit out feature that most sites have when you time out in a hand.

For example:

Player 1 raises
couple folds etc
Player 6 3bets
folds etc
Player 1 4bets
Players 6 flats
Flop comes out
Player 1 tanks
tanks
clocks running down
clock hits zero and he auto checks and is marked as "sitting out"

Player 6 has his finger ON THE TRIGGER of a minbet as the clock runs down, and bets as soon as action is on him, causing an autofold from player 1.

I imagine opinions will be situationally based, so how about when a player habitually takes too long?

What if they've NEVER timed out before?

It realllllly feels like an angle. But time clocks are what they are. I don't remember if PS/FT did this, but Bovada seems to auto-sit you out when you time out, even when heads up.

You play poker to make money, If I get the chance I'm taking advantage of the edge and too bad if my opponent was too busy with other tables or just took too long to think. I find it's especially useful in tournaments

take em if you can.

And, OP, to derail a bit, your youtube station looks pretty cool. When I have time, I will check you out. Been playing music for a living since the late 70`s.

You have to make a decision. You know the clock is running. Tick-Tock. I'm not saying that I'm sitting there with my finger on the button praying for him to time out. But when he does, it's not my fault. Heck, the flop might have hit me right between the eyes. In which case, it would be beneficial to me to wait for them to sit back in before acting. I'm not really trying to take advantage of anyone. Mostly, I'm just trying to move the game along. In the end though, I am going to take the action most benificial to me.

It's really hard for me to see much difference between this and taking the blinds of someone you know is sitting out. hehehe... I wonder if the guy questioning Ivey had Ivey do that to him and was trying to exact some revenge of sorts by putting him publicly on the spot.
