Definition: When a very strong hand that is a statistical favorite to win loses to a much weaker hand that hits a lucky draw, it’s called a “bad beat.”

He outplayed you , it does not make it a bad beat.

It also already happened to me, but I is who set off the face, I had AA, and he had 66, I played well on, betting low, had turned a flop in As, then in turn turned into a 6, the man thought it would I press, already backed up, I gave an all in and he came, took all stacks hehe

Not a bad beat as said before, but not my point here.

Very good that you took the loss light headedly, a very difficult thing to do for most players (some never learn it). Be encouraged to stay like that it will make shifts in luck or real bad beats easier to handle.

Weather it was a "Bad Beat" or not, It is impressive that you were able to take it so well. If more of us looked at it this way. There would be a lot less tilting in this world... LOL

Really this post makes no sense, firstly if you put your opponent on aces then why call off nearly a 3rd of your chips on an open ended straight draw when you say you know your beat ?
Secondly i doubt anyone would be "value betting" a small pair in this situation with 3 to 4 overcards on the board.
Thirdly, you say you were happy to se ethe 10 when earlier in the post you said you put your opponent on ACES and you were only calling because of the straight draw. So then why call his all in on the river if you say your putting him on aces ? Im not saying i would have folded i would have called also, all im saying is what you said about the hand doesnt make sense by the way you played it!

I think he ment he put his opponent on having just a pair of aces. It wasn't badly played, just his opponent flopped a monster and dragged him in by playing slow. Not a beat, but certainly the right move in that situation.

I think both people played it horrible. The guy with pocket J's went all-in with 8,9,10, and J on the board. Queen or 7 and he's beat. Slow playing has good and bad points, but you got to see the board and play it safe here. Worked out for him, but he was lucky.
