I cannot remember precisely. I think I may been separating the tagfish search term (i.e. Tag fish) which got me all sorts of info on aquariums and the like. I found a coulple things but nothing concrete like I hoped. After I posted I just humored myself by researching and found that "7 signs of a tagfish" article which gave the info I was looking for.
Unless I'm misunderstanding it, a quick def is a tagfish loses money (or breaks even) whereas a TAG wins money - though their stats may appear similar.
A TAGfish is a fish who believes he is a TAG.
Its sort of the first stage of development of a player.
Before you become a TAG, you are in reality a TAG fish.
These guys do play tight preflop, maybe a bit too tight. Their play is based more on their cards that their position. They dont consider other players actions before making a decision.
Postflop they either play way too passively or way way too aggressively, often its the latter because they sit there and fold all but premium
hands, then when they get one they feel its an automatic payday.
There preflop stats look fairly decent but a closer examination shows otherwise.
But the point is that they are trying to make an effort they are working on their game and many will progress over time.
