Table Image?

I played in a very loose aggressive home game tonight. When the weren't aggressive they were still very loose. So my question is... Is tight passive the cure for loose aggressive? I read on several occasions that playing the opposite of how the table plays is where you will get the money.

Does or can tight passive beat loose aggressive, tight aggressive beat loose passive or vice versa?

The best tactics, play againgt the table. E.g. If many people at the table loose aggressive, you have to be tight passive.

u have to sit tight wen the table is loose,,,if that is not your style dont get temted to get involved if u not comfy playin a lot ov flops with marginal cards,,,best bet is to sit tight and pik off the the weeker players in the game wen u have a monster......best way to keep focused in a live game at a loose table is watch how they bet and move ,,try pic up tells on them,,,tight aggreesive ,should be your stragergy,not tight passive...gd luk

You definitely want to play tighter than the rest of the table but you can actually open up a little in late position. I'll call raises with lots of implied odds type hands (suited connectors, one/two gappers, and any 2 broadway cards). When you play these hands you're looking to flop big and build a big pot or maybe hit a pair and use you position to keep the pot small.

When there are loose or aggressive opponents I tend to play very tight. The loose and aggressive players tend to damage each other. If one of them gets lucky and builds up a big chip stack I find that it can be quite easy when you get good hands to pick the chips of their stacks.

Tight is right ....period...
