Ok for the last two nights I have straied away from the nine person sngs on full tilt, and been playing lo limit limit holdem short handed.
I consider myself A pretty decent nolimit holdem mtt player, but have played tons of live limit holdem ring games and did really well.
I made quite a bit of profit last night playing the limits I was playing on full tilt in under 3 hours.
I am just curious if anyone has switched from nohe tournament play to limit he ring games.

yes

Yea, I play some limit ring games on poker stars,,, of course I play low limits but I still seem to make some profit at it. On Poker Stars I've played several sng's and multi table T's but seem not to do near as good as the ring games. As for as N/L ring games,,,lets just say I get MURDERED,,, enough said.
Take Care

I personally stay away from the limit tables. It makes me feel too restricted and claustrophobic. I like to have the freedom and flexibility to bet it all at the drop of a hat. Sorry, I guess this doesn't really help you after all.

I used to only play NLHE SnGs and tournaments. If I may I will brag and say I finished in the top 15 two nights in a row on the full tilt mid night madness games a couple of years ago. Those were my last big tournaments I played (1200+ entrants)

My Fulltilt monies got seized during the neteller incident. My pokerstars withdrawal was cancelled and sent back to my account. It was only $60 and not knowing what the future was regarding that money I sat down at some SH LHE and paid no attention to bank roll management. Playing various stakes, I turned that $60 into over $700 in three days just playing SH LHE. Of course I went broke a day or two later but ever since then I've pretty much quit SnGs and play SH LHE cash games. I occasionally will play a tournament but not often. (I'll play the cards chat tournaments when I can)

Took a long break from Poker and started playing again in April. Played short handed cash games in Limit and NL but mostly LHE. Moved up a level last month (keeping atleast 500BB in my bankroll)

It's a fun and aggravating game but not as much aggravating as playing the bubble in almost every SnG you're in.

I started playing live in '69 when limit 7 stud and limit 5 draw were THE games of choice. Holdem tables (and NL if there were any) were sitting empty.

I still prefer limit games, live and online. MTT or ring, either one, but no SnG's.

I wish I had the bankroll to play 4/8 live limit on a regular basis. From what I remember they play like a good $.25/$.50 limit game on pokerstars. It is the lowest level offered in casinos around here afterall.
