I read it and learned from it. It at least tells you how to behave during a game. I mean .. you can screw up your own game by thinking you are good. Or by knowing you are good. And that book learned me to realize I am bad at my game and shouldn't fake that I am not bad.

Has anyone read Super Systems 2 yet? If so, does it have a lot of different information or was Brunson just running a little low on cash and decided to have the first reprinted?

Yep they do as they help you in knowing strategies, like when to fold and not to fold. But instead of reading books you can watch the pros on TV and play online :)

well i wouldn't go directly by the books (the good ones tell you not too as well) else you will become predicatable ergo won't win as much

deffo don't try and learn from watching off tv, they edit them to put in the action hands, but you all knew that already

I've not read Supersystem, but when I have time (ha) I'd like to. I'm working through Sklanksky's Theory of Poker and then probably will read his advanced 7-card stud book. (I like 7-stud a lot more than hold 'em, myself.)

I have also heard good things about this book - I heard Doyle Brunson had to change his playing style after publishing this book!

I have Super System and Sklanksky's Theory of Poker on order from Amazon....will only take between 1-2 years to arrive in Australia....guaranteed.

Hope I do not lose the house in the meantime!

Sklanksky's Theory of Poker superb read for an average player wanting to take a big step forward, especially in cash games. Haven't totally figured out why but when I apply what he teaches I tear up cash games but my tournament play has suffered. Not a book for a newbie though, this book assumes you already have a certain level of knowledge about the game and are ready to delve deaper into "why" you make the plays you should make. After I reread it I might review it dam good book though

book is a waste i think.... get books about certain areas of poker instead...like poker tells, Psychology of Poker, etc.. a lot more informative
